I used to be on the game

I was a hooker for about 15 years. I now have a flat in Kensington and live in the Cotswolds with my two children.
My clients were very wealthy so I suppose you could say I was a high class hooker. I saved up enough to be able to escape that life and have two children and a husband.
Life is as boring and as settled as it gets.

So you had little education and still managed a degree? That seems pretty extraordinary.

Not really. There are courses you can do to allow you the equivalent of courses that would mean you're eligible for a degree.

I am not in agreement with those saying OP shouldn't write a book. I am not saying it isn't possible for her to find it traumatic, but equally she is logical about the experience, and writing a book could conversely be theraputic. Reasons of staying anonymous would be difficult but not impossible.

Incredibly interesting thread. I hope you can start being kinder to yourself💐💐

You are not lying to your husband by not telling him everything about your past. There are things my husband doesn't know about me and.i am sure there are things he hasn't told me about him. I don't need to know. No one has the right to know every single thing before you met. OP, don't worry about the past, just take care of the here and now. You sound incredible and I am sure your husband and children think you are too.

Contrary to many I believe that depriving men from their money is about as empowering as it gets. If I was young again I would definitely go down the route of selling myself for money, instead of working ridiculous hours for corporations just to fleece you of your labour. I hope you write that book, I'd love to live vicariously through your experience for a while! And do be sure to name every client so that the world can see them for what they are!

Agree.

It's a trade, each is exploiting the other for the thing they want, as with all employment.

Yes I got that impression.

Indeed.

Please do not blame yourself for this. You had a traumatic upbringing and this was all you knew. How have you managed to keep it from your husband and what is your job now? He must wonder how you have your money?

were drugs involved?

how have you been able to manage this trauma and bring up your kids?
