@BioHive it IS a secondhand car 😂😂😂 to get one that isn’t going to conk out like the one you’re replacing needs money. And knackered cars don’t generally get a great trade in figure.

How to tell me you don’t struggle for money without saying you don’t struggle for money 😂😂

Teenangels · 21/03/2024 23:11

You are correct that is what I earn in my job, I also am I 50% shareholder in a successful business and I am very proud of far we have both come.

Edited

Your husband putting your name on the business he's built and he works on does not make you the high earner. You earn 60k in your job and your husband is a high earner.

colouringindoors · 21/03/2024 23:16

Lucky you 🙄

What would you advise people who want to start a business?

To ask her DH that question instead!

You know when we all go out for a meal, or visit family. 3 kids still live at home and have boyfriends and girlfriends.

You'd think he'd put some scaffolding up and build at least one house for all these adult children.

justasking111 · 21/03/2024 23:16

Teenangels · 21/03/2024 23:04

Really, its a very good business model, just look around any city and see all that scaffolding

It's an excellent business model. Easy to store. Having a severe fear of heights watching the men assemble and disassemble makes me dizzy.

A friends two sons made a fortune worldwide providing a service to skyscrapers.

Do you declare all your earnings?

Yes, in a business that has so many self employed contactors, everything has to be declared. We would always pay any tax that is owed and have no problem doing so.

I know right! Listen to her crowing about her "achievement"

I don't try and take credit for, or ownership of my DH's significant income.

This thread should say I'm an average Jane, but Ask My DH Anything!

DontLeanOnTheKeyboard · 21/03/2024 23:19

@BioHive 16 miles each way? Fair play to you if you do.

So funny you are taking this thread so serious.

carly2803 · 21/03/2024 23:20

good for you OP! (and your husband)!

any tips for getting where you want to be in business?

Did you have a plan or business model? or just roll with it?

i love people who achieve from the ground up, you deserve every penny. Ignore the spiteful ones on here!

see ill admit id consult an accountancy firm for tax avoidance methods (fully legal, so i can then reinvest in the business)

Why it was not just his doing all the hard work in the beginning, we worked on the business together.

Do you think that a women can't have any business sense.

people are soon there watching the apprentice and praising Alan sugar etc yet when we get this thread some people are like omg

I'm on health benefits and think this is perfect for AMA.

It's interesting and I'd definitely post about if if I was in that position!

I don't know why OP is getting shit. AMA is for people to ask about things that are unusual and her life certainly is!

I can't see it being anything other than jealousy, which is sad.

I struggle alot but I'm happy there are people that don't! Wish I was one of them.

Because Alan Sugar is a high earner, his wife wouldn't make a show like the apprentice while in an average job

Absolutely women can (and do) have business sense.

But you've already said it's your DH's company, so the sense would be to ask him as he started it.

BioHive · 21/03/2024 23:23

Would you ever consider holidaying in Benidorm?

No, but if people want to go and enjoy it, great for them.

My kids favourite holiday when younger was a holiday in a caravan with their cousins in Torquay, when it rained for a week.
