I have a question a bit unrelated ( I’m an ECT ). When you say you’re a DSL - how did you get in to that ? Is a role just for safeguarding a thing or are you also a head / SLT ? I would love to still work in a school , in education but more along the lines of safeguarding

I did not go to private school, I was a single Mum at 22.

My parents were working/lower middle class.

Both sets of parents had council houses.

People are really struggling right now. Go donate some of all that money and do something good in the world instead of making inane threads about it.

OP, if you start a thread with the AMA title of 'our takehome pay is £780,000 pa' you've got to be prepared to answer questions about how exactly you make that money and the specific arrangements that lead to it.

£60k is a very good salary but it's almost irrelevant in the context of the take home pay.

Your DH's company is doing well - many SE people do well but not to that magnitude.

You've refused to engage on any of the specific questions.

What have you / DH actually done to get to that salary level?

Do you ever feel like it's too much? That you no longer enjoy Smaller treats etc

Not exactly sure what i mean but for example. I have a new pair of m and s pjs to wear tonight which is a real treat. I'm looking forward to having a bath and putting them on. kept me going all day thinking about it.
