Following on from our epic first thread I had a breast reduction

We are a group of ladies who have breast reductions for a number of reasons and are all at different stages of recovery.

@Madagascary l still can’t make my head wrap round why the risk reduction isn’t equal to the amount removed - logic says reduce the boobs by half, the risk should half because there’s half the number of cells to potentially go rogue - but it doesn’t. I’m happy to accept the data that says it’s not the logical outcome, but I’m not going to think about why too hard or I will get a headache!

Breaking news! Finally at 5 weeks felt happy to show himself the boobs .. he's not prone to effusiveness but declared them 'a good job, nice and even and half the size of the previous version'. Bless him.😀

Aww so pleased to have the awesome ladies of this thread behind me as I go under the knife! My op is on Tuesday so today I'm mainly portioning out cereal and leaving the tubs on the counter top 🤣

I'm also waxing a few body parts that may not see a proper shower for a bit.

Oh and I'm heading into town to pick up my phone upgrade, this huawei is getting binned along with my terrible bras and about two pounds of unsightly fat. New boobs who dis!

I'm really looking forward to telling my family too. I'm not telling them pre op because they will worry, and they will give me their opinions. I'll ring my mum when I'm awake enough post.

Also put tea coffee sugar and mugs/glasses/plates on the side. I was home alone for a week as my husband took our 3 yr old away to give me rest time, and I got home to find he had laid it all out for me 😍 The kettle was also a bit nippy to start off with, I found filling a mug and chucking it in worked better than stretching for taps while holding it filling.

Loving the prep @MorrisZapp 😀absolutely, food to hand, all of the pillows and soft furnishing ready for comfort, box sets at the ready - you'll be right. And yes, what @Notooserious get stuff out of cupboards where you can reach it.

I didn't tell my family either for the exact same reasons, in fact I still haven't .. 😂if they notice when I see them next then I'll tell them, if they don't I won't!!! Keep us posted, fire over any questions!

Definitely get everything down that you won’t be able to reach.
Don’t forget a pillow for the journey home.
Also, get fruit/juice/prunes in as the anaesthetic stops you pooping, which does not help you feel good.

Oh you're all so lovely for remembering! Admittance now at 12.30 and I've just had a bowl of rice krispies before my 7am fasting time. Crap sleep last night but I've got plenty of sofa time in my near future. Had lovely messages from friends and feeling OK all things considered! See you fabulous ladies on the other side 😍😍😍

I am looking for this surgery but not sure how to go about research or is research required? Can anyone tell me if I should just go to the closest surgeon or research and find the perfect one.
