Hello dears! I'm done and dusted, thanks so much for your kind wishes. 500gm of one and 360 off the other! Absolutely amazing!

It's been a heck of a 24 hours and I'll come back with more details when my slightly lingering brain fog lifts, for now I'm tucked up on my sofa at home and planning to watch a western. Can't say I love wearing compression socks in a heatwave but needs must 🤣

DP got me a lovely chicken sandwich for lunch and I'm considering pairing it with a cheeky dihydrocodeine.

I've got... small tits!!!

Martinisarebetterdirty · 06/09/2023 12:09

@MorrisZapp welcome to the small tits club! Hope you feel better soon.
Definitely research your surgeon, don’t just take the first one unless you are comfortable. (Sorry PP forgotten your name and it’s gone to the next page so I can’t check).

Madagascary · 06/09/2023 13:08

Ha ha. Did you look down straight away?

Madagascary · 06/09/2023 13:09

habsboys2020 · 06/09/2023 10:44

I am looking for this surgery but not sure how to go about research or is research required? Can anyone tell me if I should just go to the closest surgeon or research and find the perfect one.

I just use a surgeon who done a nose job for my son and I knew I liked. Can’t actually say I did a lot of research. Southcoast if you’re interested

Singletrackmind · 06/09/2023 13:41

Yay @MorrisZapp 🙌chill out now!

Yes do research but don’t underestimate the value of proximity/ going somewhere that is geographically close … as you are better off for check ups/ if you have issues etc. I had no idea just how many people do this surgery until I started looking! Unless you are in the middle of nowhere there will be a good surgeon within reach. There are 2 UK BR Facebook groups & they are a mine of info & you can get recommendations there too.

habsboys2020 · 06/09/2023 13:47

Thank you for the info! I am in north london in case anyone has any recommendations for surgeon near AL1 area

Bigtitsbetty · 06/09/2023 17:22

@MorrisZapp yay! Great stuff. So glad you’re happy!

@habsboys2020 You’re geographically close to London so will probably have a lot more options than someone in the sticks. I’d recommend speaking to a few surgeons until you find one you like. I spoke to 4 or 5 people and eventually went with a surgeon at my local private hospital who had done a reduction on a friends daughter. Ask for photos of previous work.

@habsboys2020 pmd you

Hey @MorrisZapp glad you’ve joined the club! Welcome to the other side. Get to the serious business of resting now.

Madagascary · 06/09/2023 17:53

@Singletrackmind sbd @Martinisarebetterdirty

how are you now ? 5 weekd in?

Martinisarebetterdirty · 06/09/2023 18:02

Thanks for asking @Madagascary I’m loving my size, in a 32D/DD still but feel much smaller than that, I think I have a lot of width. Definitely sisters not twins, they look very different naked. The odd twinge, bruising mainly gone now but still a bit sore on my sides, can’t decide if it’s the lipo, the surgery or because Im carrying a backpack with laptop to go to work.
In myself though I feel back to normal and going to attempt some basic yoga this weekend. Off to Greece in just over 2 weeks so everything crossed I am fine to swim and go braless! Not seeing my guy until I’m back so going to email his team.

Burtiscute · 06/09/2023 18:37

Such a lovely thread to find, I'm about 8 weeks post op and feeling a little bit alone as I've not had a great recovery and reading this thread has helped. I've had a similar experience to @Notooserious also sat here with the hole after breast fat necrosis. Changing my own dressings and wondering when it will get better.
Went from a 36 hh to maybe a 36dd/e I'm not really sure yet as I've been told to keep my compression bra on.
It cost just shy of 10k
Southwest

Martinisarebetterdirty · 06/09/2023 20:05

@Burtiscute that sounds nasty and lonely. Wishing you a speedy recovery and glad you’ve found these threads.
Do you mind if I ask how you knew about the fat necrosis? Was it a breakdown of healing? I ask because until @Notooserious mentioned it I’d not heard of it, certainly don’t remember my surgeon telling me about it, so I googled and it seems to be impossible to spot from what I found there.

Notooserious · 06/09/2023 20:17

@Burtiscute Oh hon! Such a rubbish thing to happen. I’m ten weeks post op now and the damn hole is almost healed, even though it has only been about 5 weeks since the spectacular bursting. It was the size of a 20 p and about half a cm deep, just to the side of one nipple. Are you having to put hydrogel or packing into it? How are you finding it? And how often are you being seen? My surgeon signed me off for a month so that I could be seen every other day - 5 hr round trip - until I got the confidence up to dress it myself on alternate and then do 2 out of 3. I was really anxious till the nurse told me that the hydrogel is anti microbial so not to panic about infection. Feel free to pm me if you want to chat more, or happy to natter a bit on this thread.

Notooserious · 06/09/2023 20:21

@Martinisarebetterdirty Mine was picked up because I had an infection and they wanted to check I didn’t have an abscess, so had an ultrasound. (Seen by the nhs as an emergency after overnight possible infection.) they said it was an abscess, gave me antibiotics, and said see your surgeon in a week. Next day the thing literally exploded and ripped down the scar line. Still fucking traumatised when I think about it! When I saw my surgeon he said it was fat necrosis because all the swabs had come back negative for infection and it would have looked different if it had been.

Singletrackmind · 06/09/2023 20:28

Hello @Burtiscute … sounds tough so glad that you’ve found us. Really hope that improves for you.

So yes @Madagascary 5 weeks yesterday for me and @Martinisarebetterdirty

I am ok. Feeling more back to myself each day. Work can feel tough & I do get home some days & just lie straight on my bed to recover. Went back to the gym this week though for some lower body stuff & that’s been fine.

I have no idea about size & I do get myself in a proper fret that they are still huge. If I stand in front of a mirror without clothes they are clearly much smaller, but I think they are still quite ‘Barbie’ and my left one is a bit boxy so I’m struggling to see it some days. Everything I’ve read says it’s gradual change as they settle so I’m trying to keep the worry in check 😬

The healing is good though & bottom incision is tucking in nicely into the boob fold so you really can’t see it.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 06/09/2023 20:31

Hope those of you still healing get there soon ❤️

I'm 7 months post op now. Settled at a 36d from a 36 g
Healed well. Happy with size and the comfort this summer has been immense compared to years before.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 06/09/2023 20:41

@Notooserious that is truly horrific! You poor thing, absolutely shocking that it could happen like that. So glad you are on the mend now.
@Singletrackmind they will settle down, relax! If they are Barbie they will still be swollen.

Madagascary · 06/09/2023 20:42

Totally agree @HeBeaverandSheBeaver summer is a game changer.

For those of you early days post operation. I think it takes a while for your head to get round it. Do bear with it because in about three months afterwards, you can’t imagine ever being back again

Madagascary · 06/09/2023 20:43

@Singletrackmind how can they still be Big? What do your family and friends say about it?

Burtiscute · 06/09/2023 21:32

I hope I'm doing this correctly as I usually just lurk and never post. @Martinisarebetterdirty

I feel bad saying it was similar to @Notooserious now as mine was a much milder version.

At first the nipple was really dark compared to the other and the incisions around it did not heal the same as the other boob. When the dressings came off you could see the area was red and smelt bad.

I was given antibiotics and dressings and shown how to change them every 3 days. I didn't have to pack or anything but was given some sticky clear guaze to put under the dressing. I went back once a week and on the second week my surgeon said it was fat necrosis and it would heal eventually. A few times he trimmed it and pulled some dead fat out. But up untill last week it was really leaking thick fluid or puss with lumps? Had to change the dressings every 2 days. Then it just stopped so I'm hoping it will heal now .

It was just lonely as nowhere I googled mentioned this or nobody had experienced it. And it's been 8 weeks now. My surgeon never looked concerned and just keeps saying it will all heal fine eventually. My surgeon was really thorough with mentioning the risk factors and this complication was mentioned but apparently is quite rare. So we were just unlucky I think.

I'm glad yours is healing now @Notooserious sounds like you had a really tough time. Hopefully mine will too.

Burtiscute · 06/09/2023 21:35

So nice to hear everyone's stories and even though I've had complications, I'm still so happy I had it done.
Good luck to everyone healing
And to those people just starting their research. I will probably just lurk from now on, unless I have anything useful to add.

Madagascary · 06/09/2023 21:35

Oh @Burtiscute that sounds really dreadful, and the fact that it was most unusual.

I think it’s really important that we have all different experiences on this thread. You are very welcome and I’m sure someone over to experience very useful.

Bigtitsbetty · 06/09/2023 21:43

I think it’s really useful to have some complications discussed on here, although it’s very unfortunate that you ladies have suffered. It’s much better perspective for anyone considering surgery.

OP posts:
Heartfullofcheese · 06/09/2023 22:23

I hope everyone heals well and it’s so good to get a well rounded perspective of what can happen. My surgeon was very clear that the main issue is healing and that problems are relatively common but not usually serious.

I still look in the mirror and feel big but in reality, that D cup fits me and it definitely didn’t before! I think it’s a journey rather than the instant turnaround I imagined. But I have no regrets at all.

Struggling to find bras for work. The post surgery ones are a bit soft and ride up a lot. I want something comfy but with a bit more shape. Sports bra is my first try but they can be rigid. I really don’t need the front fastening now either. Also need a bit of um, coverage for pointiness…..any ideas welcome.

Singletrackmind · 06/09/2023 22:23

Agree with everyone @Burtiscute its useful for people to hear & understand what can happen. Thanks for posting.

@Madagascary my family don’t know … I’ve not seen them yet. My few trusted friends say they look fab …. I know … proper body dysmorphia 🤦🏼‍♀️🫤

Thx though as I think you are right, I just need to get more used to them & to @HeBeaverandSheBeaver @Martinisarebetterdirty ..for the kind words 😌
