Wow, legit thought I'd do this post as before I did this job I had no idea how it all worked and genuinely thought people may be interested or want to ask questions. Getting a lot aggressive judgement and abuse..
I don't take my clothes off. I'm not a pushy sales person. I'm very passionate about my field of expertise and have shared that on socials and it's grown unexpectedly. It's actually really challenged my self-confidence and has been a really empowering journey which has given me financial independence and buisness skills. For all the woman on these boards that bang on about female empowerment, not judging others, letting any woman be who she wants to be .. you equally have a way of tearing other women down.
So I'm outta here...

You gained followers on SM, and have found a way to monetise off it with little effort. I would 100% do the same if I had SM.

Influencing is just advertising, nobody gets snobby about people who work in advertising.

I must say, 163k followers doesn't sound like a lot for a proper 'influencer'. My 15 year old cousin has half of that and she only posts random selfies with parts of them scribbled out.

Actors usually have training and are honest about their job. ‘Influencers’ accounts are all about creating a community of people who like your output and trust your opinions, then exploiting that for cash and kickbacks. Some will be better than others, choosing promotions that align with what their content actually involves and we’ve seen them using/liking before and most importantly being honest and transparent with ads, gifts and sponsored content of any type (as per the ASA and CAP rules). Others will sell any old shit and bury declarations or just not bother with them at all. It’s a shady business.

I genuinely didn't mean to offend. I run an Instagram page to support people with a specific health condition and I have found that the pressure of it triggers my panic and anxiety so I've had to start reducing content. I have also noticed lots of influencers from around the 2015ish era who have since quit subject to their own Mental Health.

An influencer gets paid for their acting skills though?

The attitude of a lot of the posters on here is awful. It would have cost you nothing to either ask questions, scroll by, or pose reasoned critiques. But instead you took pleasure out of tearing a woman down for the way she makes money without doing anything illegal or selling her body.

Don’t be so dramatic it’s just another way of advertising. Would you say the same about Cate Blanchett being paid millions to advertise perfume? You don’t really think you will live her lifestyle with a quick spray of Georgio Armani do you?
Im sure the op does earn quite as much, but if she can make a living from influencing (aka advertising) stuff why not.
