I had a breast reduction two weeks ago. I’ve gone from a 34GG/H to a 34D.

Crack on with any questions!

Because I’m lazy not wanting to injure myself I am taking the full six weeks before I go back to the gym. That will be this Wednesday after work so please keep me accountable.

I probably could’ve gone back a few weeks ago and just use lower body resistance machines or cycled a bit though. I’m excited to start running again. Back to couch to 5k!

I have taken two months of my gym membership to really make sure I’m better, but I don’t want to put anything at risk

Madagascary · 24/10/2022 08:21

In any other news, did anyone take photos in to show their surgeon of the kind of size they want because as you can imagine it’s hard finding non-porn pictures of 34c tits

Singletrackmind · 24/10/2022 13:10

Ah good to hear how people are handing it & yes … I wouldn’t even know what 34c really looked like after staring at my huge boobs all these years! I think I’ve found some before/ after shots that look like me now/ how I’d like to look that am gonna take to the consult.

Bigtitsbetty · 24/10/2022 17:33

I just said make them as small as you can 😂

I tried on an old GG bra today and it’s sooooo big. Reminded me of trying in my mum’s bras as a child.

Incidentally I think I have gotten smaller too because there seems to be a more room in my D cups. I might order a C cup in the same style bra and see what that’s like.

I’ve been wearing these sports bras from Next They’re really comfortable and wash a dry nicely.

I really can’t stand to look at mine now

LOVE the colour of the next bra. I was in Primark today and they’ve got some kind of breast cancer awareness range and had some post surgical bras, but they didn’t look compressing enough to me

OhNoOhDearOh · 24/10/2022 18:40

I didn’t show any pictures. Just said I’d like a D cup. I’ve settled at a DD-E which is still pretty big by all accounts but it goes with my body and I’m very happy.

Madagascary · 24/10/2022 20:56

What were you before? If I ended up with a D I’d be pissed off. I’m an F now

Madagascary · 24/10/2022 20:59

Wonder if the trick is to ask for one size down from what you’d want!

OhNoOhDearOh · 25/10/2022 18:44

I was a G-GG.

any good surgeon will tell you they can’t guarantee a size, and ultimately it comes down to blood supply and viable tissue. My surgeon could probably have taken me smaller but I’m a comfortable size for my weight. Ultimately I’d like smaller breasts, but then I also need smaller thighs, no love handles, a flatter tummy… so if I lost a stone or so, maybe that would all work out anyway. But I’m too lazy to diet!

Madagascary · 26/10/2022 05:47

He he. Good for you.
rhe transformation must be significant then

Singletrackmind · 26/10/2022 09:34

I’m a 32 E/F and the first surgeon I saw said 20-30% off the ‘mass’ and nipples 6-7cm up. I think a lot of cup size depends on how ‘wide’ you are naturally. I have another consult booked in Jan,
just want to find someone I’m comfortable with.

Bigtitsbetty · 26/10/2022 17:15

I saw my consultant today and he’s really happy with my progress. I’m six weeks post-op today.

He thinks I might lose a bit more and settle on a C/D cup over the next six weeks. He did say that he couldn’t go smaller in surgery because of the width of my breasts like @Singletrackmind said. My boobs were always very full and not particularly saggy so they couldn’t go any smaller without looking a strange shape.

Incidentally I have started selling all my clothes that are now too big. I priced to sell quickly on Vinted and I now have a very healthy balance to buy new things with.

I find the sternum to nipple measurement depressing!

Madagascary · 26/10/2022 20:14

Great news @Bigtitsbetty

Madagascary · 26/10/2022 20:15

Can I ask Advice up with my after-care. Slight change with available personnel.

I come back the day after surgery, how long do I need to really close help at home compared to just somebody making my meals/doing laundry for me et cetera. No kids anymore..

I think it’s 48 hours following a general anaesthetic. Other than that I could have managed alone for the most part.

Things like washing hair are impossible at first but just have dirty hair. Plan food in advance so it’s just microwaveable. Before surgery make sure things you’ll need are at waist level so you don’t have to stretch up or down. Get outfits planned for everyday so you don’t need to think about it. Getting clothes out of my wardrobe was impossible so if you have space lay them out somewhere.

Thanks pal

FusilliPasta · 26/10/2022 22:21

My mum helped me shower for the first few days, washed my hair, dried it for me. I’d say up to 5 days, really depends. I couldn’t make meals for a good week or two, I was wiped out from all of the meds. Just standing up for a few minutes had my head swimming.

Madagascary · 26/10/2022 22:27

Oh dear, plot development, mother-in-law needs to have an operation and it’s scheduled for three days before mine. Husband is an only child. I want him to ask her to re-schedule hers

Madagascary · 26/10/2022 22:33

My adult sons are offering to come down because they’re gorgeous

Advice on showering seems to really vary. What was yours?

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesn · 27/10/2022 07:06

The width thing is interesting and makes a lot of sense. Pre babies and being fat I was a D and I'm now a K...

Started up at the gym this week. I will reach my goal!

FusilliPasta · 27/10/2022 07:44

I could shower the next day. Had glue and tapes which was waterproof. I was told not to be shy, don’t be scared and go for it. So I was in the shower from day 1, which made me feel SO much better (but really knocked me out)
