I had a breast reduction two weeks ago. I’ve gone from a 34GG/H to a 34D.

Crack on with any questions!

I never wore necklaces before my op. Now i do

Martinisarebetterdirty · 09/07/2023 22:51

Thanks ladies, that list is a good idea I will get on with it!

Madagascary · 12/07/2023 21:44

How’s things guys? Everybody check in

Touty · 12/07/2023 23:16

Has anyone else got dog ear scars underneath their arms?

Madagascary · 13/07/2023 06:26

No, I had liposuction under both, and some skin, exercises under one, and the Lipo, and the excision have been far more trouble, not really, but you know noticeable, than the whole boob thing

Madagascary · 13/07/2023 06:29

Got a new bikini I’m well chuffed with though. 😂

Madagascary · 13/07/2023 06:29

Skin “excised”. Not exercising my skin fgs

Singletrackmind · 13/07/2023 06:43

From what I’ve read people have dog ears removed under a local anaesthetic ..? My surgeon does lipo as necessary for shape. In the meantime I’ve bruised my ribs quite badly 😬so just over 2 weeks for that to stop hurting although ironically the enforced rest will probably help …!

Madagascary · 16/07/2023 21:25

Guys, this is a weird one, but do any of you get any itchiness around your operation when you have a glass of wine or two?

I have noticed that I get an itchy cleavage every time I go to the pub, and to be honest the scarring stops at the very bottom of the edge of my boob, if you know what I mean, but I wonder if it’s something to do with alcohol and blood supply, I’ve never had an itchy cleavage before now LOL

Bigtitsbetty · 16/07/2023 21:27

@Madagascary i don’t drink wine but I haven’t noticed it with any other alcohol.

@Madagascary weird! Stop going to the pub … 😉 counting down now … only a couple of weeks to go for me & @Martinisarebetterdirty 😬

Martinisarebetterdirty · 17/07/2023 19:01

How are you feeling @Singletrackmind ? I’m beginning to feel excited!

Singletrackmind · 17/07/2023 20:06

@Martinisarebetterdirty I’m excited… interspersed with ‘shit am I really doing this’ ..moments!

Madagascary · 17/07/2023 22:10

oh God, I’m beyond excited for you both. Summer really is so different when you’re not feeling self-conscious all the time.

XenoBitch · 19/07/2023 23:09

This might seem an odd question, I am am questioning the validity of the person who this is inspired from.... but....

If you have a breast reduction, can they later go on to grow back? I know a lady who had HUGE breasts, and has been offered reduction on the NHS, but wont go through with it because she was also told they can grow back.

Is this true?

Singletrackmind · 20/07/2023 07:05

@XenoBitch read back through this thread, we covered it a few pages ago

Update from me - 6 week check with surgeon yesterday, all good, signed off 😎

I have some tiny bits of stitch that haven’t dissolved and are poking out - they are making me feel slightly queasy but not causing any issues. I was told to leave them be. Have also started sleeping in my side occasionally but it gets sore if I stay there too long.

I def don’t feel ready for exercise yet - well, jogging - but that might be psychological more than anything!

How are you both feeling @Singletrackmind @Martinisarebetterdirty ?

Singletrackmind · 20/07/2023 13:16

@user80 great news! Are you happy with everything? Sounds like you have recovered well & the sleep is better.

Me - totally ready & totally terrified! Not long at all now 😬

Martinisarebetterdirty · 20/07/2023 13:43

@user80 fantastic news!
like @Singletrackmind excited and terrified!

user80 · 20/07/2023 18:37

Honestly I still have moments of “omg did I really do this” but life is TOO SHORT to suffer. I haven’t had a moment’s regret so far and don’t think I ever will. You will both be fine 💪🏻

I’ve still got a fair bit of swelling, my surgeon said it’s not until about a year after that you get the completely finished result. But so far, so good.

Singletrackmind · 20/07/2023 20:09

@user80 that is great to hear 🙌 I do think the nerves are really going to kick in next week,

Have you noticed you’ve now got a space for necklaces?

did you ask how much weight they removed?

user80 · 21/07/2023 07:10

@Madagascary I don’t wear necklaces much but I have noticed that I don’t need to hoik anything anymore 😂🙌🏻

Yes, they removed just under 400g from each side. Incredible.

Bigtitsbetty · 21/07/2023 07:28

Great news @user80
@Singletrackmind its coming to be so soon!
@Madagascary all of my old necklaces look weird now. They don’t sit in the correct place. It’s like when I dyed my hair blond and all my clothes look weird because they didn’t suit my colouring.
