NC for this as I remained anonymous, which was fairly pointless as I did tell some family and friends and it spread from there.

@Crunchymum

I don't understand your maths.

You used to earn 1800 a month, you say you now earn more interest a month than you did in 9 months working (so £16k a month interest?) How does that translate to 65k per year?

Interest is from money in the bank Total income would include from rental properties as well

I can see how an amazing holiday let would go for £1k a week, which is £4k a month. And 3 of them so that's £12k/month, plus the £5k in interest from the cash in the bank

SofiaMichelle · 18/06/2021 11:36

"How much interest do you earn a year?"

"Less than 65k, the interest on my account is very low"

roobicoobi · 18/06/2021 11:37

It was interests not total income that OP cited as the £65k. 'Less than' £65k, but you would assume that to mean more than £60k

SofiaMichelle · 18/06/2021 11:39

@GappyValley

The OP specifically said the interest earned per month was equal to 9 months of her previous earnings, not 'interest plus income from lettings'.

RewindTime85 · 18/06/2021 13:01

i see the OP has stopped posting. Im guessing it was a fake story.

@bollihigh

There's a touch of the Meghan's about the OP's attitude to her dad
Oh hello, Court. That would be a good "article".

No way does a lotto winner have £10m just sitting about in a bank account doing nothing. Nice post well researched but it doesn't stack up

Seasonschange · 26/08/2021 07:46

I don’t get why the crap interest rate makes this story unbelievable. £10m is more than I could spend in a lifetime, I couldn’t be bothered to try and make more money out of it just for the sake of it.

Backstreetsbackalrightdadada · 26/08/2021 08:09

Probably too personal a q… how do other people you now know (eg school parents) think you got this money? I’d never tell someone I won the lottery as your story is a good example of money grabbers! But I wouldn’t know what to say if they asked how I got it Blush

Mybumlooksbig · 21/02/2023 21:50

Do You still get a thrill of getting a bargain for example.. eBay or yellow stickered food items??
I always think if I was a millionaire I would still go to charity shops and shop in Lidl 🤣

I’m a bit disappointed that you didn’t help out family more, instead falling out.
I’d rather family were all supported with debts and mortgages paid, and a new car.
Then choose not to keep in touch, but I’d rather people had a helping hand for a change in their lives

I don’t see much to praise here really.
