I like Singapore noodles. Thank you.

Msgiggles30 · 28/01/2020 21:15

Oh wow thanks! Can add that cane sugar in Chinese to my allergy log haha!

TroysMammy · 28/01/2020 21:24

Sometimes I just order a pancake roll and Chinese gravy but I find the portion of rice is too much for one and I resort to a microwave rice or cook my own before I leave to get my order. Would half portions of rice be possible or is is packaging a standard size?

MissConductUS · 28/01/2020 21:24

Any alcohol from the white wine will evaporate off before it's served.

Chichz · 28/01/2020 21:38

Thanks OP!

I expected so. I'm meant to avoid veg oil (and obviously takeaways!) for a Paleo-type diet I'm following. Have decided to make my own sweet n sour crispy chicken this week, but it's going to take a LOT of changes. Going to use beef tallow to deep fry - literally 10 x the price Grin

Keep up the good work! X

mniser · 28/01/2020 21:39

@TroysMammy we can do half portions we put them in the soup container and charge half the price of a normal portion it's always worth asking

we are about seven miles from consett.

Gosh I wonder if you're my Mam's local Chinese!
Do you also do a really hot green Thai curry?

mniser · 28/01/2020 21:43

@furrytoebean we do a very hot Thai green curry has she mentioned anything else on the menu and I might be able to confirm

Had a lovely Chinese tonight.

furrytoebean · 28/01/2020 21:45

All the other things I can think of are all standard Chinese food that could be anywhere Blush

If it is my mams local Chinese then you're food is lovely and your gravy and chips are the best.

mniser · 28/01/2020 21:45

@Rachel709 glad to hear it what did you have?

OP posts:
mniser · 28/01/2020 21:48

@furrytoebean you'll have to ask her if they do a mixed box as a lot don't really and our chips and gravy are quite nice so it might be.

Rachel709 · 28/01/2020 21:48

Just a chicken curry, it was really tasty.

mniser · 28/01/2020 21:50

@Rachel709 Did you ask if it was gluten free or are you just going to risk it

OP posts:
Smithtylater · 28/01/2020 21:55

What is the most money someone has spent on one order ?

mniser · 28/01/2020 21:58

@Smithtylater ooh that's a good one I've had an order for £160 before it was two massive cardboard boxes we get a lot of big orders from students mainly or house party's so every weeks there's like £90 orders which is a lot of Chinese food.

Do you do gravy bbq sauce (thick very dark sauce) If so what’s in it please? I can’t find it anywhere and it’s my favourite

mniser · 28/01/2020 22:10

@Bambooshoots14 yes we do so ours is the gravy as a base sauce which is just normal gravy made with meet juices then add molasses hoisin sauce oyster sauce soy sauce and brown sugar.

Bambooshoots14 · 28/01/2020 22:11

Ooh amazing thank you so much I’m going to try and make it

LennyPugGoat · 28/01/2020 22:17

Great thread, are orders easier if done by number or dish name? I always worry about ordering seafood, is it fresh or frozen?

mniser · 28/01/2020 22:22

@LennyPugGoat we find it easier for name dish as the numbers aren't linked correctly due to adding more items to the menu however we do get one regular customer who phones weekly and proceeds to use order numbers and I have to tell them each time the numbers aren't linked. Our seafood is fresh but can't promise that for every takeaway.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 28/01/2020 22:37

Ooh....do you deliver to Low Fell?

mniser · 28/01/2020 22:41

If you slice everything extremely thin then it will cook very quick. Don’t forget everything is cut and prepped in the day.
