@bsc but why so consistently Tuesdays? I’m not curious about why they close one day a week, but why it’s always, everywhere Tuesdays.

Some Chinese takeaways round here open on a Tuesday, I bet they get a lot of custom because the others are shut. Hairdressers are closed one day midweek as well.

What sauce do they use to make chow mein? Mine never tastes as good when I make it at home.

I was told they all close on a Tuesday round here because that's the day they all go to Nottingham for the casinos.

I think the OP has had a rush of orders now and is busy.

Do you get many folk ordering the English dishes like chicken Maryland? How do they do the chips as I always find them a bit different at the Chinese.

Now I have the craving for Mongolian beef. Fortunately it's easy to make in my instant pot.

They close midweek because they are open Saturday and Sunday.

Justajot google “silking beef” (or whatever meat), it may be that.

Are the sauces brought in or made from scratch?

Every time I've been in chinese take away = very stereotyped accent.

The person who served me in the Chinese takeaway the other day had a very stereotypical accent but then she was from the Black Country.

I get that you need time off, I’m not disputing that but why Tuesdays?

Around here they are all closed on Mondays.... so now I’m craving some beef in black bean sauce and there’s nowhere to get it!

I usually throw in some additional veg - bell peppers, onion, etc. It's very easy to substitute chicken. Apologies if there are any US measures you have to convert.

My kids love it.

Which part of the country are you in and now much is a main dish? I love Chinese food but around here, it’s not cheap.

No. But people are aware the risk is higher if any of the problem who work there have been to China recently, which would not be particularly odd.
