I’m a Manager at McDonalds

I’ve worked for McDonalds for several years in different stores and have received personal awards for my customer service. I never initially wanted to become a manager, however with the support and encouragement of my business manager I went through the crew development programme to become one.

So... AMA?

I can't wait for a Grand Mac again, had my first McDonald's in months on Saturday just gone after reading this thread. I wish I'd waited and got it this weekend instead. I will of course have it this weekend but it would have been so much better being my first for a while.

I think McDonalds have been analysing the data on how people customise their burgers ....

We started adding bacon to double cheeseburgers a few months ago. Hey presto - they introduce a bacon double cheeseburger (at exactly the same price as normal + bacon)

We then started adding bacon to the Big Mac .... and once again, hey presto, they launch a Big Mac with Bacon

I know this is an old thread but I’ve posted on it a few times before and appreciated the OPs responses.

Anyway my question OP is what the flip have Macdonalds done with the new chicken pieces they put in the grilled chicken wraps. They are just about ok 😕 but they are nothing compared with the old style chicken. I’m heartbroken. 💔. Grilled chicken wraps are a staple of mine. (Sweet chili with no cool mayo )
Were the old style chicken a higher percentage of chicken? I felt like they were just slices of chicken rather than the formed chicken with all sorts of added stuff that the new chicken comprises of.

I can’t find any ingredients list for the old style chicken but would be curious to see it.

Why are the cheese bites etc not labelled as vegetarian?

Are MacDonald staff allowed to give unused thought food to homeless people or does it have to be binned?

Are they working on reducing single use plastic such as ice cream cup covers, smoothie lids.

Would they serve my coffee in my reusable cup to reduce disposable cups?

Happy we are moving to paperless but less plastic would be even better!

I've got a couple of questions so really hoping the OP comes back!

1. Why is it a lottery in regards to getting milkshakes? Sometimes you can go at 8am when breakfast is on and get a milkshake, and others they tell you the machine isn't on? I can get round my manager with a flash of the eyes and a strawberry milkshake and not to have them on every morning is a pain! Surely it doesn't take a huge amount of effort to switch the milkshake machine on first thing?

2. Paper straws. I know why McDonalds have chosen to use them, but surely they must have been tested? My wilts about halfway through my drink! Do you have an option to purchase a plastic straw?
