Just for a bit of entertainment as I'm not doing much today. Ask away

Do pardon me Ella. It was hilarious.
Do go fuck yourself if you've nothing to add to the topic you miserable cow.

No, it was grim for you, you can't speak on behalf of all only children just like I can't speak on behalf of all children of large families when I say it was shit growing up with 6 siblings.

No, but Brand can speak for you and all other kids of large families apparently Wink

@pallisers it was also 'normal' for women to be SAHMs but the world has changed a lot, hence it's not as common to have 6 kids nowadays as it tends to stop one parent from working, which is increasingly difficult with today's living costs.

OP - do you and/or your DH work and do you receive any benefits/tax credits other than child benefit?

You do get raked out when they get older; mine had activities, gym membership, driving lessons, phones and tech. Even stuff like contact lenses and haircuts. Mine got 5 pounds a week pocket money then 20 in the sixth form. Multiplied by four and its quite a lot. They all had jobs though.

But you need a bigger car and holidays and breaks can be costly.

Uni was a bit of a killer; we had two there at a time for a lot of years and they only got the minimum loan. Fortunately we had saved a bit up in advance.

I have 6 kids, now youngest 22. All over the world, in good careers. I was also a single mum. Fuck off anyone saying you can’t give individual attention!

MelanieSmooter · 28/07/2018 23:15

Brand you’re off your face love. Get a grip.

mydogisthebest · 29/07/2018 08:49

pallisers, how old are you and where did you grow up? I ask because I am mid 60's and it certainly was not normal to have 6 children when I was young.

My mum has 1 sibling, my dad has 2. When I think about school friends, neighbours etc most families had 2 maybe 3 children. There was one family that had something like 8 children but most people used to talk about them in a negative way.

I am 30 and in NW

My parents (in 50s) are 1 of 6 and 1 of 4
In laws (in 60s) are 1 of 5 and 1 of 3

I am unsure of what our grandparents were but think my grandma had a lot of siblings
