Have you had to declare this to anyone in real life?
Such as dr's or dvla?

L0UISA · 13/07/2018 07:17

Are you sober?

Tinseltower · 13/07/2018 07:23

How long have you been an alcoholic? Do you have a partner or children?

Butternutsqoosh · 13/07/2018 07:25

At what point did you realise/accept that you were?

Slartybartfast · 13/07/2018 07:28

do you work?
are you married?

waterlego6064 · 13/07/2018 07:31

I’m sorry to read this. Are there other alcoholics in your family?

Babydontcry · 13/07/2018 08:15

My dr knows, I don't drive so the dvla was never an issue.

How long- when I look back on it now I've never had a healthy relationship with alcohol. But the last five years on and off have been the worse.

Babydontcry · 13/07/2018 08:24

Yes, there are other alcoholics in my family, both my grandfathers and two of my uncles.

OP posts:
Babydontcry · 13/07/2018 08:25

Slartybartfast · 13/07/2018 08:26

can you stop?
does it affect your money?/homelife?

Babydontcry · 13/07/2018 08:40

My dad is a functioning alcoholic and often has a weird smell. It's not the smell of alcohol itself, I read online it might be the smell of ketosis. Kind of sweet? Have you noticed this smell?

Do your friends know you're an alcoholic?

Babydontcry · 13/07/2018 08:58

I haven't but I'm guessing you don't necessarily smell it on ur self. Some of my friends do know

Icecreamandpineapple · 13/07/2018 09:04

Are you female/male?

Do you drink in the morning's too?

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 13/07/2018 09:10

Do you ever get hungover? I can only think that alcoholics don’t, because I just couldn’t possibly drink the next day if I’m hungover.

Babydontcry · 13/07/2018 09:15

When things are at the worse I have drank in the morning. And I get nasty hangovers

JeezYouLoon · 13/07/2018 09:17

How old is your son & does he know?

Carecomplet · 13/07/2018 09:22

How old is your son? Do you worry about the relationship he will have with alcohol?

waterlego6064 · 13/07/2018 09:25

I really feel for you OP, and I hope you can hang on to the thought that change is possible. It is always possible, even if you think you are a lost cause. 💐

BlardySM · 13/07/2018 09:27

What time do you start drinking on a typical day?

Emmageddon · 13/07/2018 09:39

Have you tried accessing support to stop drinking? There's a thread on here in relationships, Brave Babes which is a fabulous supportive community
