So, getting on the bandwagon here. I am a swinger along with DH of course. For about 7 years now. Ask away!

Do you even things out; so one of you doesn't have loads of partners and the other none?

Not at all. Swingers are all real people, not supermodels. Every size and shape and colour.

How long does each meeting last?

How old were the oldest and the youngest swingers you have met?

We never play with more than another couple. We try to involve each other equally. We are both happy to watch the other have fun so if one of us is sidelined for a bit we don't mind

A meet usually lasts a couple of hours but sometimes less, sometimes longer. We sometimes make an evening out of it and meet up for drinks somewhere first.

We try to meet people our own age, going for a much younger/older couple wouldn't feel right.

Do you ever have the situation where everyone has finished and had a last drink and got their coats on and is waiting to go home, but there’s one last couple still banging away on the coffee table and nobody’s got the heart to tell them to hurry up so you all just sit there glancing at your watches and talking about whether to take the shorter but windier route home or go via the bypass?

How many people at a meet, on average?
And does it ever happen that several people are after one couple while poor old Brian with a combover is left standing at the bar all night AGAIN?

To clarify - we arrange our own meets between me and DH with either another couple, a single man or a single woman. There are 3 or 4 of us.

Going to a club there will be lots more people, you may arrange to meet someone there beforehand. Some people are happy to have multiple partners in a club or just one/a couple. We don't like to play with more than 2 others as that's enough and I can imagine it would be hard to keep track of what was going on and hard to enjoy.

I've read reviews of swingers clubs; there often seems to be a lot of focus on the quality of the buffet. What food do you get at a swingers buffet, and, considering where people's hands have been, would you eat from it yourself?

What happens if someone knocks someone who is not their partner up? If they didn't want an abortion it would get messy quickly

I have encountered the swingers club buffet. I didn't really investigate what was on it. I wasn't in the market for a sausage roll I had other plans!

I think swingers take safe sex seriously including birth control. I would expect to ask and be asked by any potential partners what was in place in terms of birth control, condom use and STD checks. It's part and parcel of swinging and is routine.

I'm not sure how it came about, I think we had done the usual chats about likes and dislikes, moved on to fantasies and ended up looking into swinging on the internet. We have always been very open with each other so it didn't feel strange to discuss and explore something new together

Can you just go for the buffet?

How much are the membership fees for your clubs and do they charge different rates for men,women and couples.?

You could just go for the buffet but you'd get better food in a restaurant.

The fees vary from club the club but you have to be a member and provide ID. Usually around £30 per person then additional fee on the night. The prices can vary for couples/men/women depending on the club and whether there is a themed night or if it's a weekend.
