The Original Baby Box Review

The Baby Box is a new concept for the baby sleep market that offers a thoughtful and budget-friendly alternative to a crib or Moses basket

Inspired by the world-renowned Finnish Baby Box, The Baby Box brings this wonderful tradition to the British market, offering custom-designed packages of clothing and practical baby items in a special box designed to be used as the baby’s first crib.

There are a number of options available with price varying from £70 to £250 depending on the contents. In our opinion, the best for a budget buy is ‘The Original Baby Box’ option, which costs £115.

This Baby Box comes with the following items: mattress, mattress cover, fitted sheet, muslin swaddle, soft toy, two baby vests, a sleepsuit, hat, bib, mittens, luxury blanket, pack of nappies, nappy cream, pack of water wipes and bag of cotton squares.

Used as a baby bed, our mini tester found it to be cosy, safe and super secure. It is recommended that the box is used from birth up to six months of age, however, it can also be used for storage once your baby has grown out of it.

I love it. It has all of the essentials and the quality is lovely. Definitely worth the money, in my opinion.

The product isn’t fancy and also feels a little strange when using it at first (we’re not used to putting babies in cardboard boxes to sleep in the UK). However, it’s affordable, great value for money, space-effective and just a really lovely idea. It would also make a perfect new baby gift.
