Lovehoney Couple’s Advent calendar review

Delve into what I think about this year’s Lovehoney Couple’s Advent calendar and whether it’s a worthy upgrade from last year’s edition.

Price on writing: £149, worth £502 | Buy now from Lovehoney

My rating:
What I like
  • Strong value for money with around 70% off its total retail value

  • Includes two hero items from We-Vibe and Womanizer

  • Rechargeable bullet vibrator works with multiple sleeves

  • Broad curation of products (not just toys)

  • A complete kit that includes consumables you’ll need

What I don't like
  • Some items may not appeal to all users (eg anal/plug items)

  • There’s no lingerie included, unlike some rival calendars

  • It’s a large box that takes up a lot of space

Key specs

Price on writing: £149, worth £502 | Available: Yes, order now (limited time) | Contents: 24 products inside | Power: USB rechargeable (main toys), some battery-powered items | Warranties: Five years on Womanizer products, two years on We-Vibe products

My verdict

If you’re after a way to make December a little less about mince pies and more about pleasure pies, the 2025 Lovehoney Couple’s Advent Calendar won’t disappoint.

At £149 (worth £501.76), it’s excellent value, especially when you factor in the big-ticket toys - the We-Vibe Sync Lite and Womanizer Classic 2, which together retail for nearly £190. That’s before you even count the rest of the box, which includes 22 more toys, accessories and essentials designed for connection and mutual fun.

It’s definitely a step up from last year’s edition, not just in value (last year’s was worth £458) but in the quality of the hero items. The Classic 2 replaces 2024’s Liberty 2, which is a big win - more powerful, fuller-sized and frankly, a better fit for long-term use. The inclusion of Kegel balls and a prostate sleeve makes this year’s curation feel more inclusive, while the rechargeable bullet (with six interchangeable sleeves) remains the unsung hero of the set.

Of course, as with all Lovehoney Advent calendars, it won’t be for everyone. If you’re not into light bondage or anal play, a few items will probably stay in the drawer. But even then, the high-quality vibrators alone justify the spend.

In short, it’s a cheeky, grown-up treat that delivers serious bang for your buck - quite literally.

How we tested the Lovehoney Couple's Advent calendar

As with last year’s test, I didn’t wait until December (you’re welcome). I opened everything at once to see what couples are really getting for their £149.

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been testing the mix of toys and accessories with DH - some familiar, some brand new - and compared the experience to 2024’s set. The We-Vibe Sync Lite and bullet vibrator are both rechargeable (thankfully, no AAA scrambles mid-sesh), while the Womanizer Classic 2 felt noticeably stronger and smoother than last year’s Liberty.

We also tried out some of the accessories, including the paddle, blindfold and Kegel balls. The restraint kit and nipple clamps are still best described as starter-level BDSM - great for curious beginners, but probably too tame if you’re already well-versed in that department.

Essential extras like lube, toy gel and cleaning wipes are a nice touch, making it feel like a proper set rather than just a box of random toys.

Who is this Lovehoney Advent calendar most suited for?

This calendar is best suited to couples who want to explore, experiment or simply inject a bit of spark back into the bedroom.

While there’s plenty here for seasoned toy users, it still feels tailored towards beginners and the mildly adventurous. The toys are approachable, the instructions are clear and everything is designed to be used together - there’s no overwhelming gadgetry, no guesswork.

It’s also a thoughtful choice for anyone curious about app-controlled play or suction toys but reluctant to buy them separately. The We-Vibe Sync Lite is an excellent introduction to remote-controlled pleasure (we have a full review of this toy here actually) and the Womanizer Classic 2 is still the gold standard for clitoral stimulation.

If, however, your partner is on the shy side or not into kink, there’s a chance a few items (like the anal plug or restraints) will gather dust. In that case, the 12-day Indulge Calendar - focused solely on female pleasure - might be a safer bet for 2025.

Is the Lovehoney sex toy Advent calendar discreetly packaged?

Yes, completely. As always, Lovehoney’s packaging is discreet, both in billing and delivery.

The outer box gives absolutely nothing away - you could easily pass it off as a robot vacuum, coffee machine or, dare I say, an oversized LEGO set.

Inside, the calendar is beautifully presented in a festive red and gold design, with each of the 24 boxes individually packaged. You won’t need to wrap it, though you may want to hide it from curious little eyes until after bedtime.

Because it’s over £50, you get free standard delivery, but you can also upgrade to:

  • Express delivery: £5.99

You can also opt for Click & Collect if you’d rather keep it away from nosy neighbours (or your in-laws). Packaging remains fully discreet, as always.

Final verdict on the Lovehoney Couple's calendar

The 2025 Lovehoney Couple’s Advent Calendar feels like a genuine upgrade - more value, better toys and smarter curation without bumping up the price.

The Womanizer Classic 2 is a major highlight and worth the investment alone, while the modular bullet vibrator adds real versatility. It’s still beginner-friendly but a little more adventurous this year, giving couples the option to explore everything from massage and mutual play to light bondage and beyond.

It’s not perfect - you won’t love every single item and it still skips lingerie - but as far as adult Advent calendars go, this one’s still leading the pack.

If you’re looking to spice things up this December (and can keep your hands off opening all 24 boxes at once), it’s an indulgence that’ll pay off long after the decorations come down.
