And, if there’s one thing that is evident every year, it’s that Mumsnet users are happy to spend a little extra for a more luxurious calendar. Whether it’s beauty products, jewellery, LEGO, fragrances, and in this case, sex toys - dropping an easy £100 on a calendar that offers a lot more value than a £2 chocolate Advent calendar is a tempting thought. 

For 2024, Lovehoney have two Advent calendars to choose from: their 24-day couple’s sex toy Advent calendar and their smaller, but still effective, calendar that’s designed specifically with female pleasure in mind. 

I’m talking about the 12-day Indulge sex toy Advent calendar, which in my opinion, is a rather sophisticated way to explore pleasure, whether solo or with a partner, in the lead up to Christmas. A bit of stress relief, shall we say? 

From the moment I opened the packaging, it was clear that the calendar means business. Aptly named after the calendar’s hero toy, the Lovehoney Indulge G-spot and clitoral suction stimulator, every toy included is made of premium materials. The black, purple and rose gold colour scheme is consistent throughout, making this feel like a sophisticated Christmas countdown. 

But it's not just about looks – this carefully curated collection covers all aspects of female pleasure, from gentle clitoral stimulation to G-spot exploration, nipple play, and even anal adventures.

The standout feature is how versatile these 12 gifts are. The multifunctional bullet vibrator cleverly pairs with both the finger toy and anal beads, proving that sometimes less really is more. However, if you're specifically shopping for couple's play, I’d recommend spending a little extra on the 24-day version instead, which offers more variety for partnered exploration.

What’s inside the Lovehoney 12-Day Indulge sex toy Advent calendar? 

Alongside the hero toy in this year’s edition, Lovehoney have also included an array of body-safe toys and foreplay tools that are arguably staples in a sex toy collection. 

While I personally don’t find much use for the G-spot stimulator, the clitoral feature of the Indulge toy is certainly a welcomed feature for me. I also particularly like the jewelled butt plug, kegel balls and the fact that the bullet vibe is rechargeable and not battery powered like others I’ve tried. 

Like the 24-day version, the Indulge edition also includes practical items like sex toy cleaning wipes and toy gel.

Favourite #1 - Butt plug 

This metal plug in rose gold is adorned with a purple jewelled base. It’s weighted, smooth and very comfortable during wear. While the flared base ensures safety, I find that it doesn’t stay in place too easily. I do, however, like that this can be temperature-adjusted before use for extra sensation! 

Favourite #2 - Kegel balls 

After having two babies just 15 months apart, if there’s one thing I know - it’s that kegel muscles are important. Not just for the sake of avoiding wetting your pants every time you sneeze, but also for sexual pleasure. Stronger orgasms? Tighter grip? Because of the shorter duration, there’s only one premium item in this version as opposed to the 24 day edition. The Indulge suction stimulator is worth £70 on its own, and when combined with the other toys and accessories in the calendar, the value exceeds individual purchase prices - making this particular calendar exceedingly great value for money. 

Like the couple’s version, multiple toys can be combined with the included bullet vibrator for versatility, and you have a choice of both internal and external stimulation whether exploring solo or with a partner.
