Deal fatigue setting in? By now, your inbox is probably bursting with "unmissable" offers that promise the world that have been clogging up your inbox since the start of November.

A recent discussion on our Talk boards highlighted what many of you are really after this Black Friday: practical, reliable items that stand the test of time – from cosy throws and energy-efficient air fryers to family-sized fridge freezers.

Here at Mumsnet HQ, we cut through the noise. The team and I have personally tested and carefully curated a list of Black Friday deals that real families actually need – no marketing fluff, just genuine recommendations from our team at HQ as well as our community of savvy Mumsnetters.

Keep reading to find the Black Friday deals truly worth your time and money this year.

Starting with this particular request from one user who’s “after a water flosser thing”. Lucky for Webbb, this particular water flosser from Ordo is currently discounted at Argos! For just £80, get the tried-and-tested water flosser and a new Sonic+ toothbrush that I personally recommend.

Mumsnet seal of approval: "I have an Ordo sonic brush and am very happy with it." BrownTableMat

T’is the season to struggle to dry your laundry, so I wasn’t surprised to see tangobravo share that they’re hunting for “a dehumidifier with laundry mode”. While our #1 best dehumidifier, the MeacoDry Arete One Dehumidifier and Air Purifier is worth looking at, for a decent bargain I’d recommend the electriQ 20L Low-Energy Smart Wifi Laundry Dehumidifier that currently has £119 off.

Early Years Award

Mumsnet seal of approval: "Yup we got one when we moved into.our home 18 month ago cos it's a new build. It's a 12L one by ElectriQ. Never heard of them but it doesn't cos much to run and does the job." thismeansnothing

Don’t want to invest in a dehumidifier just yet? Try the Unibond Aero 360 Compact Moisture Absorber, which my colleague describes as “a good place to start” and at £10, is a fraction of the price of a dehumidifier.

Amazon’s most popular smart speaker, the Echo Dot, has been designed to help families with their daily routines - from timers, to weather updates, music, alarms and even WiFi boosting! Sadly for annonymousse, the children’s one isn’t on sale, but the original Echo Dot should still do the trick for a great gift.

Mumsnet seal of approval: "My DD is 9, she uses it for music, asking how to spell words when doing homework, loves asking it facts, listening to audio books." Headingforholidays

coodawoodashooda asked for a new electric throw and I’m here to deliver… Voted our best overall electric blanket is the Dreamland Alaskan Husky Faux Fur Heated Throw that’s currently on sale in Boots’ Black Friday event with forty quid off!

Mumsnet seal of approval: "Dreamland Faux Fur heated throw (comes in a couple of colours). Had mine 3 or 4 years and it’s one of the best things I’ve spent my money on. Two family members and two friends subsequently got one and they all love them too." Furries

Stay warm through winter with our #1 heated gilet, the Ororo Heated Vest, that according to my colleague is “super toasty, easy to operate, and surprisingly lightweight.” You can get 20% off this winter walk staple over on Amazon for Black Friday.

Arguably one of the best Christmas gifts for kids is a Yoto player. Whether it’s the original or the mini version, this screen-free player is perfect for kids aged 3 to 12 years and above. And lucky for Blessedbethefruitz, I’ve managed to find these savings on some Yoto cards, too!

Children testing the Yoto Mini + Starter Packs for Little Kids

Yoto Mini + Starter Packs for Little Kids, was £70, now £55 | Buy now from Amazon

Mumsnet seal of approval: "My children are 7 and 3 (nearly 4) and we love our Yotos! I would definitely get a mini for your 7yo, they are so portable (and a bit cheaper). For your 2yo I would recommend the full size, just because it has bigger images and is generally a bit easier for little hands to use." NameChange30

On the flip side, there’s the Toniebox. My own DC have one each (we’re very much a Tonies house rather than Yoto) - I feel like they’re just a bit more robust and can withstand being chucked by my DC. They make great Christmas presents, especially when you can save on a Toniebox bundle this Black Friday.

Toniebox + Creative Tonie bundle, was £80, now £64 | Buy now from Tonies

Mumsnet seal of approval: "We got one for our then almost 3 year old at Christmas. He loves it and has used it most days. Still also loves a book! I’d say it’s a different experience - we use it for when he wants the songs or when we can’t physically read to him." WhoHidTheCoffee

For those of you on the hunt for a decent slow cooker, may I please turn your attention to Russell Hobbs’ Good-to-Go Multicooker. With 46% off over on Amazon for Black Friday, this 5/5 multicooker is arguably one of the most versatile kitchen gadgets my colleague has tested.

Russell Hobbs Multi-cooker

Russell Hobbs Good-to-Go 6.5L Electric Multicooker, was £90, now £49 | Buy now from Amazon

Mumsnet seal of approval: "I have the Russell Hobbs Good to Go Multicooker which I love. You can sauté everything then put it on 4 or 8 hr slow cook. You can also use it as a sous vide and roast." OrangeBlossom28

On the hunt for a new family tablet? I personally recommend the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ (its extra AI capabilities and children’s features are superb). But, given that it’s a new release, we’re unlikely to see any discounts for Black Friday. So with that said, check out the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ that currently has £350 off at Argos.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+, £1,149 (pictured) or Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+, was £999, now £649 | Buy now from Argos

Mumsnet seal of approval: "My partner has the Samsung tab and it’s brilliant." Mammma91

If, like me, you also struggle to dry your clothes indoors through the colder months, I definitely recommend investing in a heated clothes airer. The Dry:Soon Deluxe 3-Tier Heated Clothes Airer is currently reduced from £250 down to £180 and it has made my life SO much easier when it comes to the washing.

Dry:Soon Deluxe 3-Tier Heated Airer, £225

Mumsnet seal of approval: "Handy for uncertain weather days, so if you hang out in morning but it’s going to rain in afternoon you can finish off the drying on the airer in a much shorter time than if they were straight from the washing machine." Saucery

If your child has a camera on their Christmas list, I personally recommend our #1 kids camera, the VTECH KidiZoom Duo FX. It’s durable, fun to use, has inbuilt games and is currently just forty quid - the lowest price we’ve ever seen - over on Argos.

Mumsnet seal of approval: "Ours (aged 3 and 5) both love theirs. Very sturdy and easy to navigate for young children and photo quality is reasonable- given a 3yr old is holding the camera!" Theonssausage

Whether you’re in need of a new pair for yourself or want to gift some for Christmas, slippers are always a good idea. Personally, I love these handmade sheepskin mules by The Small Home but we’re yet to see any Black Friday discount on them. I do know, however, that our users go mad for John Lewis’ equivalent that are, I’m happy to report, discounted at the mo.

The iconic Dyson Airwrap is arguably one of the most sought after hair tools on our Talk boards but given its price tag, I’m unsurprised to find that many of you are waiting for a Black Friday deal like BloodyWolves is. Well, I bring good news - you can get £80 off the navy Long Volumise version at Boots this week.

A collage of the Dyson Airwrap with testing imagery

(L and R) one of MNHQ’s very own Dyson Airwraps, and (M) the discounted navy Long Volumise version, was £480, now £400 | Buy now from Boots

Mumsnet seal of approval: "I love mine, it’s a complete game changer. I have long hair (past my bra strap length) and for the first time in my life I can do a bouncy blow dry that actually looks decent for 2/3 days. I’d highly recommend it." IncyWincyCaterpillar

Can’t or don’t want to stretch to £400, then I personally recommend the Bellissima Italia Prodigy. Usually £250, it’s currently discounted to a more reasonable £180 at John Lewis and with its six attachments, Ion Ceramic Hi-Pro and Coanda technologies, it rivals the Dyson easily IMHO.

Mumsnet seal of approval: "Absolute game changer! I have a chin length bob, very straight hair and since the menopause my hair has started to frizz slightly." Howyoualldoworkme

Swiftly moving on from hair to food, many Mumsnetters have their eyes peeled for a good air fryer deal. So, I feel it’s only right that I bring one of the most recommended models to your attention that’s currently discounted by 20% - the COSORI Air Fryer (that has a 5.5l capacity).

COSORI Air Fryer 5.5L in use

COSORI Air Fryer 5.5L Capacity, was £75, now £60 | Buy now from Amazon

Mumsnet seal of approval: "Also have the Cosori 5.5l. It's my first so nothing to compare it to but I love it. Didn't want to spend loads of a Ninja for it to gather dust like many other gadgets but I use it all the time. Price reasonable, easy to clean and love the presets. Won't be changing for a while." Supersee

Alternatively, for you Ninja loyalists out there like GargoylesofBeelzebub, the Ninja Double Stack XL air fryer is currently at its lowest price ever over at Argos at just £209! Run, don’t walk.

For an all-natural skincare option, I personally recommend UpCircle Beauty. Having used their products all year, I’m thrilled to see that they currently have 25% off sitewide for Black Friday. I particularly love the coffee eye cream that helps to combat the dark circles under my eyes.

On the hunt for a mattress? Shoppers can currently enjoy up to 50% off Emma products, including their mattresses, pillows, mattress protectors and bundles. In fact, the brand’s original hybrid mattress (and our best mattress overall) is reduced from £339 to just £271 in single size, and from £449 down to £447 in king size.

If you too, like fellow Mumsnet user Tarkan, are searching for an American fridge freezer - I’d like to introduce you to the LG InstaView smart fridge freezer. I actually own this particular fridge, and would happily shout about it from the rooftops all day long. So, I am thrilled to share that you can save £650 off one of your own at Currys for Black Friday!

Review: LG InstaView™Door-in-Door American fridge freezer

LG InstaView GSGV81PYLL American-Style Smart Fridge Freezer, was £1,999, now £1,349 | Buy now from Currys

Mumsnet seal of approval: "We have an LG. Lots of room and has a water/ice dispenser. It's a dark stainless steel colour..doesn't show any marks and is very easy to keep clean! And comes with a 10 year warranty. I would recommend it to everyone!" HappinessIsKey

Mumsnet user NunyaBeeswax is on the hunt for trainers that make her “larger feet look smaller”, and it looks like OP tillytomtiny beat me to my recommendation. Skechers Slip Ins. The Ultra Flex 3.0 are the ones I personally own and recommend - in fact, my heels survived over 14 miles in these babies while walking around Disneyland Paris.

Mumsnet seal of approval: "I nearly exclusively buy skechers these days. The slip ins work great, I have a pair like the ones you posted and another that is not as bulky. I'm planning on buying one more pair in another color." IShouldNotBeSurprised

For those of you searching for a new vacuum like KohlaParasaurus is, I recommend the Tower VL100 Optimum. This lightweight cordless vacuum cleaner is our #1 in our best budget vacs roundup, and according to my colleague is a smart choice if your budget doesn’t extend to a cordless Shark.

Connetix tiles are predicted to be a big seller this Christmas and it’s easy to see why after my colleague tested two of the brand’s bestselling sets. For you savvy shoppers who have these on your shopping list, you can get 20% off various Connetix sets over at John Lewis right now.

Two boxes of Connetix magnetic tiles

Connetix 24 Piece Rainbow Mini Pack, was £29, now £23 | Buy now from John Lewis

Mumsnet seal of approval: "Going against the grain here but I love Connetix and think they’re absolutely worth it. We started with a giant off brand set and they were ok but then I tried building with a friends set and did a lot of googling and I thought in the end it did really make a difference if you’re trying to build big." Elpheba

When it comes to walking pads, my colleague swears by the Panana Treadmill under desk one and uses it daily. But, I’m disappointed to see it only has 3% off for Black Friday, so instead, I reckon you should check out this Costway 2-in-1 treadmill that Mumsnet user Kibble29 recommends - and has 37% off right now at Debenhams!

(L) Panana Treadmill, was £120, now £116 and (R) the Costway 2-in-1 Walking Pad Treadmill, was £260, now £170

If, like me, you never win a Henry Hoover at Bongo’s Bingo’s, well - you might be pleased to find that Henry of the pet variety currently has 17% off over on Amazon. So effective is the Henry PET200 that it survived living with two cats when my colleague recently tested it.

Bugaboo is a firm favourite of mine when it comes to prams, so I’m pleased to see that they’re offering up to 15% off for Black Friday. The discount applies to my all-time favourite lightweight stroller, the Bugaboo Butterfly (which I still currently use for my 3yo) and the Bugaboo Fox 5!

One thing that Mumsnet users are guaranteed to buy year after year is the St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Face Mist. Which, I’m thrilled to see - and so will my colleague, I’m sure - is less than a tenner on Amazon at the mo, down from £24. That’s a 59% saving! Time to stock up so you can look less ghost-like through winter.

Another beauty entry is Drunk Elephant’s A-Gloei Maretinol Oil that I have very quickly become obsessed with since receiving it in Boots’ beauty Advent calendar. Packed with resurfacing retinol, I am already seeing better skin tone and texture after just a couple of weeks of using it daily.

Speaking of Boots - their 12 Days of Luxury Beauty Advent Calendar is on sale for Black Friday, bringing the usual price of £99 down to just £74, making this particular calendar an absolute bargain! Filled with full-sized items, I personally recommend this for yourself or as a gift for a loved one.
