Anyone TTC after a recent early loss and wanting support? (Aug 26)

Hi, I thought I’d start a separate thread for anyone who is TTC after a recent early loss, so we can support each other through what can be a really difficult time. 💕

I’m 39 and TTC for my first. I conceived after around four cycles, but sadly had a missed miscarriage mid-July at around 9 weeks, (development had stopped at 6).

I stopped bleeding last Sunday and have started noticing some cervical mucus returning over the past few days, so I’m hoping my body is beginning to get back into its normal rhythm.

I’m still testing positive on pregnancy tests, so can’t use LH strips to track ovulation yet, so for now, my plan is to get back to some exercise, eating well and have sex every 2-3 days. I’m feeling positive and hopeful but also trying to take my mind off the waiting!

If anyone else is going through something similar and would like to share the journey and support each other x

Yes I think I will def have an early scan - I won’t be able to wait until 12 weeks. It’s only ever reassuring for as long as you’re in the room, but it’s still something.
I hate the cramping feeling as I just keep expecting to bleed. I’ve had it for a while too.

A friend who has had multiple losses told me about progesterone pessaries. Anyone aware of these? Apparently they help thicken the lining and increase chances of a sticky baby… I am going to ask my GP

Yes absolutely, there is no way I could wait till 12 weeks either!

I had progesterone pessaries with my daughter, i also want to get in contact with someone in getting some because I think it really helped that pregnancy be successful. I bled with her, but thankfully there was a heartbeat on the scan (this was at 8 weeks), no reason for bleeding but I was put on the pessaries till 16 weeks and I stopped bleeding when I started them! I just don’t know who to speak to? Maybe I should try my doctors too…

I’ve bled in every pregnancy so far - successful or not (2 boys, 1 MC). I would really like to get some if I can. Happy to pay but just not sure how to go about it.
Otherwise maybe an online pharmacy?? Or perhaps EPU?

same, every pregnancy I’ve bled too, it’s awful!

I feel abit lost as to where to get some or who to speak to. When I googled about contacting EPU apparently you have to of had 3 miscarriages so I don’t know if I’d qualify…I would defo pay for it myself too I don’t mind about that it’s just getting my hands on some! I feel like the GP wouldn’t prescribe either but I’m not sure

@fluffycauliflowers that’s great that the tests are getting darker. I’m also 4+6 today! And have had the cramping and pulling sensations for ten days now which I’m still finding unnerving.

@Springcloud26 any sign of that static smiley yet? X

Not yet! CD 18, noticed wetter CM so I’m hoping it will be in the next few days 😊

@MaybebbyI think we only qualify if there is bleeding. From what I’ve been able to uncover. They can prescribe without you needing to have had 3 previous miscarriages but there would need to have been at least 1, plus bleeding. Then you would have a scan and only once they have seen the intrauterine sac can they prescribe.
So we wait for bleeding I guess
