I meant to ask… I’ve been enjoying doing sun salutations as I like doing a flow of movements which are short enough that I can remember without a video. Are there any other flows I should try?

PatienceOfEngels · 17/09/2024 07:11

Secondary @happytobemrsg . This year I'm teaching year 10 and up only (for the first time in over 20 years of teaching!).

Move day 18 (30mins). Lovely autumn breeze and saw my friend the bat again.

PatienceOfEngels · 17/09/2024 08:41

Maybe google yoga flow @happytobemrsg ? I just found this yoga warrior flow from googling (does include a sun salutation):

Move day 19 (20minutes) at work this morning (feeling a bit bleurgh so had a lay in). My hips are very achey today and this gave them a good stretch out.

PatienceOfEngels · 19/09/2024 06:57

Move day 20 (24 minutes) at work. Good stretch for my hips which are still aching.

PatienceOfEngels · 20/09/2024 06:30

YWA Move day 21 (12 mins). Short but hardworking core practice. Back outside with the big moon and the stars this morning.

PatienceOfEngels · 21/09/2024 06:13

YWA Move day 22 (21 minutes) on the deck.

Jumbojem · 21/09/2024 21:40

@PatienceOfEngels really impressed with how you are keeping going outside!
I need to get back on the wagon, hardly done any yoga for weeks really. Maybe I need to do Move or another of the 30 day series as I am generally good at sticking to them (not daily, but do them in order and complete).
I've pulled a muscle or something in my calf while running and generally I think I get more injuries when I've let the yoga/flexibility work slide so this is my motivation.

PatienceOfEngels · 22/09/2024 07:41

YWA Move day 23 (25 mins) quite slow paced but good hip stretch at the end. Beautiful morning practice outside.

Sooverthemill · 23/09/2024 11:42

I’ve been very much awol, many apologies. Life has been tough since I injured my shoulder in February and my DD has been exceptionally unwell too. But 2 weeks ago I started back doing some YWA initially starting with FLOW for a few days but finding it a bit unsatisfying so I’ve switched to doing a few of her longer occasional videos from this year and they are fab. I did the yoga for mobility on Saturday and Sunday ( before it was released not sure how) and today I did the lower body workout which was good as it barely used shoulder strength and was just good fun. Hope everyone is doing okay lovely to see old faces

Had a day off yesterday (helped a colleague out which took my free time before lessons and during the day, then evening was shattered).
Today Move day 24 outside after school run.

PatienceOfEngels · 25/09/2024 08:25

Move day 25 (20 minutes) in my classroom this morning. Good for stretching out hips and torso.
I think I'm going to invite my colleagues to practice along in October. This will force me to keep going!

Sooverthemill · 25/09/2024 10:01

Yoga for mobility again today . A really nice, focused practice that I shall definitely return to

Sooverthemill · 26/09/2024 20:20

Today I was t feeling great but did this short practice which I used to often do a couple of times a week after another session! Ah well, working myself up slowly

Jumbojem · 26/09/2024 22:52

Welcome back @sooverthemill I did the YWA mobility one on Monday, enjoyed it. Was going to do it again but did the also recent Yoga for calves as I have calf strain at mo so it felt relevant. It was good but had a surprising amount of plank for a calf focused practice! Also featured, unusual for Adriene, wild thing pose which I just can't manage, I just don't get it and feel uncomfortable. So may not repeat that one in a hurry!

PatienceOfEngels · 27/09/2024 10:23

Move day 26 yesterday at work and day 27 today outside. Today was mostly strength and it was definitely hard work (I may have sworn at Adriene a few times!). Beautiful autumn weather for practising outside though.
Am away this weekend so need to make sure I can fit yoga in. SO pleased to almost be completing another 30 days.

Sooverthemill · 27/09/2024 19:43

Today was a rubbish day again so I did a 12 minute stretchy one with Kassandra which was really good

Jumbojem · 27/09/2024 20:40

I did the YWA morning mobility one again. I think its going to be a favourite for me, just over 20 mins and perfect run through of all the areas I need to work on.

Sooverthemill · 28/09/2024 09:20

Yoga for mobility again today it’s a good short practice I feel for ensuring I’m stretching enough to keep flexibility

GameOfJones · 28/09/2024 20:46

Hello all, I'd like to join in please! After hurting my back earlier this month I've decided to get back to daily yoga and have been doing that for the past couple of weeks. I follow Sarah Beth videos.

Today, 20 minute deep stretch for hips and legs. This was a really relaxing one, I didn't even need to stand up! I had incense burning and felt very chilled.

Sooverthemill · 29/09/2024 09:18

Welcome @GameOfJones ! We are a friendly bunch ( I think)

so today after a truly awful night’s sleep I wanted to do nothing but drink tea and eat digestive biscuits but instead I did this from YWA 2 years ago that I had never done. OMG was it challenging! It wouldn’t have been 2 years ago but now it was bloody hard work but I felt so much better and pleased with myself afterwards. Now I’m eating porridge

@Sooverthemill thank you!

First thing this morning I did 15 minutes of Sarah Beth slow morning stretch. The really slow flow felt great I have to say! I enjoyed focusing on the transitions as much as the poses.

PatienceOfEngels · 30/09/2024 08:43

Welcome @GameOfJones !

@Sooverthemill well done for getting on the mat when you really didn't want to!

I've come back from my weekend away with a horrible cold and headache so off work today. I didn't get to the mat yesterday and really want to get finished with YWA Move so I can start YWA Home tomorrow.

I will try and do Day 29 today and may have to pull a double tomorrow or Wednesday if I'm feeling better to get day 30 done (tbh I always hate the day 3 with no commentary anyway).

I predict that today is going to involve a lot of herbal tea while lying on the sofa!

Sooverthemill · 30/09/2024 10:34

I did this this morning and it was pretty damn good though had to not do the left side plank because of shoulder

GameOfJones · 30/09/2024 13:24

I did this 30 minute flow and stretch video of Sarah Beth's just now. It was great, definitely one I'll add to my YouTube playlist šŸ™‚
