Did day 29 followed by catch up of 27 (yin). Was perfect (especially after a cycle and run this afternoon - great way to stretch out my kegs and hips).

I haven't decided what I'll do tomorrow...

Whattheladybird · 30/01/2023 21:41

Done Day 29 apart from the hip roll things which were massively painful for me too. Didn’t do Move, so I think I’m going to do that next.

Jumbojem · 30/01/2023 22:52

Day 29 done. Only noticed today it is CENTER as, of course, Adrienne is American. I have consistently written Centre every day (I record my activity on Strava, privately not shared on the feed).
I think I'm going to do Move in February as I like a change, if I can keep it going then Centre again in March!
See you on the mat tomorrow yogis!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 30/01/2023 23:17

Day 29 done and I really enjoyed it. Especially the sounder dips with bent knees. My back and shoulders had a good crunch and creak as I went into it and are now lovey and loose in time for bed.

Thank you for the company on this journey. I haven’t decided what to do tomorrow (I don’t like the freeform day 30 practices) so I might get a jump in with restarting, as Feb is a short month.

melonraspberry · 31/01/2023 07:34

Day 5 of move is a good stretchy one, I usually do that on day 30. I’m going to start day 1 of center tomorrow as when the numbers line up with dates it helps me remember where I am in the month!

Sooverthemill · 31/01/2023 07:46

We did it! Congratulations all

It’s gone quickly I think. It’s been lovely reading everyone’s comments especially as so many resonate with me. I dislike day 30 too and thought it was a bit silly of me to prefer being told what to do 😊. It’s good to know I’m not alone.
The discussion yesterday about moving between plank and down dog made me think as I step my feet forward to bit to get into down dog. I tried not to yesterday. I think my hands are actually too far forward in plank so I tried moving them back and that really found a new group of muscles to work! It’s either that or I’m going to blame having short legs and a long torso. 🤔

HellonHeels · 31/01/2023 08:52

Thanks for the new thread Sooverthemill.

This is the first year I've done the month. Thread has helped a lot. Loved day 29 and was surprised by how much stronger I felt. Side plank had been impossible earlier in the month.

I want to do Move next, can you sign up for the daily emails for it?

CeeCeeDeeBee · 31/01/2023 09:25

I did day 28 yesterday, was going to double up with day 29 then decided to save it for today in case day 30 was unguided, per tradition.

Looking forward to completing it later and starting the month over again tomorrow. I've really enjoyed doing it along with everyone and seeing people's progress, even though I'm not the best at remembering to post every day.

ScottishBeth · 31/01/2023 10:28

We had a very stressful day yesterday and I came very close to skipping it, but I thought it would be such a shame to fall at the last hurdle, so I did it right before bed and it was lovely. I really like goddess, it's a fun challenge to lift my heels up.

@HellonHeels there isn't a daily email for Move - the emails just come in for the January. Move is available here https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLui6Eyny-Uzyp5P3Vcuv5qCHQOC8W6grN

ScottishBeth · 31/01/2023 10:29

Oops, here.

Jumbojem · 31/01/2023 10:42

And that's a wrap! I gave Adrienne's day 30 a go as I should be able to do it having followed her for a few years now. Kept the tablet close and tried to follow asking with her but didn't worry if I was doing my own thing. It was good for accountability as she does far more planks and core moves than I would left to my own devices!
The video did feel like a slight anticlimax though as it just ends with a quote on screen not even a Namaste, which I've weirdly missed with Centre.

ScottishBeth · 31/01/2023 10:29

Thank you :-)

Buttalapasta · 31/01/2023 11:21

I'm going to do Day 29 of Move instead of the unguided practice I think. That way I can do all of Move minus the unguided one next month! This is the first year I've managed the whole thing (except one day when I did a "real" class) so I have done yoga every day and (mostly) enjoyed it. The challenge will be to keep on going.

Fandangles · 31/01/2023 12:32

@HellonHeels yes I’m sure you can - I found a link to join Move on her site, that apparently triggers the daily emails!

Fandangles · 31/01/2023 12:34

@HellonHeels this hopefully will work!

hoochyhag · 31/01/2023 13:02

Day 30

Pretty much followed her, with a few amendments.

Oo thank you @Fandangles I have signed up to move.
Will do this, hopefully.

Thank you @Sooverthemill and everyone.

Reading the comments have been so great. Cannot believe that I did this everyday. We can do anything we turn our minds to!

@HellonHeels this hopefully will work!

Thank you :-)

I've got it to work and received the intro email.

Coraline353 · 31/01/2023 14:49

Day 30 done!
I largely followed along too but with some bits changed to suit me. Enjoyed the whole journey

BestIsWest · 31/01/2023 17:33

I did day 1 of Move rather than day 30 of Center. It was tough and I’ve done it at least 10 times now. I still need blocks for Downward Dg because of a shoulder problem and tried to do it without them. Big mistake.
Back to Center tomorrow.

ScottishBeth · 31/01/2023 20:01

@BestIsWest using blocks obviously works well for you. It's so hard sometimes not to push too hard, and sometimes difficult to judge what that is.

I did day 30 and I really enjoyed it. When I did day 30 of move I repeated a very common sequence that we'd done hundreds of times through the 30 days. But this time I did some poses that I really enjoyed but haven't done very much, like humble warrior and goddess. And I also had a little foot rub at the beginning! My feet were absolutely freezing so I thought I'd go with it!

Looking forward to starting Move tomorrow.

newmumtotwo24 · 31/01/2023 20:09

Oooo I really enjoyed 30. I didn't think I would because I've only been doing it for 30day and didn't think id be able to think of stuff to do myself but I just decided to go for it and it was enjoyable. Things I learnt is that I love warrior, and put a lot of core in! Also it was all very basic as I couldn't remember any more complex poses. Kept looking for inspiration and she was doing lots of what I was so I took that as a positive. I never would have put anything balancing in though and did after I saw her balancing stuff. Want to carry on but can't decide between the two everyone is doing. I might try move for something different.

Weepingwillows12 · 31/01/2023 20:35

I didn't mind day 30 this year either. I just did a bit of flow then some stretchy stuff with a bit of core chucked in. Didn't really look at her at all. Was surprised when it ended.

CeeCeeDeeBee · 31/01/2023 20:42

Just finished day 29 and I'm calling that a wrap! I never do day 30 because I hate the unguided practice (I don't see the point - it's literally why I watch videos to do yoga instead of just cracking on alone). Looking forward to starting again tomorrow!

Ladyofthelake53 · 31/01/2023 20:43

Just finished day 30, i just followed adriene. Feel strangely emotional its over.....is that odd ?

Not sure what to do next maybe try move although theres lots of adrienes videos on youtube.
