Wasn't sure where to put this, so ive put it here for now, as its where I put the Arsenal Premier League win one.

I'm really looking forward to the World Cup, and want an England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 win (although I am of course behind Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿!)

I've got the BBC sport notifications turned on, and will likely watch with the BBC, rather than ITV.

I'll be watching my matches from home alongside my dd and cat, who are both uninterested!

Anyone fancy joining me? Will you stay up for the games of the country youre supporting?

There very loud boos at the Czechia v South Africa game during 'hydration' breaks.

Airconditioned stadium, commentators said they were wearing jumpers.

It’s not a good enough explanation. If they must have them, which they shouldn’t imo, there should be leeway depending on the play, e.g. after a corner has been taken. But as they’re really ad breaks they can’t do that

Hydration break just as the game was picking up momentum in the Bosnia v Switzerland match. Ridiculous.

I can't stress enough how corrupt and ruinous the "hydration" breaks are.
I heard an american saying "end of second quarter"

They are against the spirit of the beautiful game and am very proud that the England fans roundly booed them.

It is nothing about player welfare and all about money.

Completely. The whole game changed direction after they stopped.

Hydration breaks equals advert breaks. All with ex England players and bizarrely Jeremy Clarkson.

I think USA will edge it, especially with the home support but otherwise I expect an even match.

Wanted the US to lose. Not happening and not watching it.

Scotland should do well x. I'll be safely tucked up in bed and will wake up to the result - it's mid summer almost so I wake up at 4.30 now.

Was really hoping for an Australian win but bloody hell they are playing beyond poor!

Why is there hardly any commentary on the USA v Australia match? I could swear there was lot of chat from the commentators on the Switzerland/Bosnia Herzegovina match last night.

Also when USA came running out after half time I thought I was looking at a page from a Where's Wally book!
