Wasn't sure where to put this, so ive put it here for now, as its where I put the Arsenal Premier League win one.

I'm really looking forward to the World Cup, and want an England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 win (although I am of course behind Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿!)

I've got the BBC sport notifications turned on, and will likely watch with the BBC, rather than ITV.

I'll be watching my matches from home alongside my dd and cat, who are both uninterested!

Anyone fancy joining me? Will you stay up for the games of the country youre supporting?

Rain, thunder and lightning has postponed the match. Off to bed.

Our eldest (fair weather football fan at best) commented how much we are all watching this World Cup compared to the previous (2 at most he can remember) even he’s watching games that aren’t England, I wonder if it’s because his (newish) college friends like football a bit? (We know football not’s compulsory but decided being able to muster your way through viewing the odd game now and again is a social life skill for a young adult (possibly male in particular) and he can do that, just about! Might have to message brother when he leaves home from time to time, that’s what little brothers are for.

We wanted to be unimpressed (Trump/FIFA corruption) but we have been sucked in!

Will have to cope with youngster’s over excitement in the heat later (one freezer full of ice pops)

And must not get complacent- the games you think “yeah England should walk this” are the ones they fuck up!

Not sure about heat and an alcoholic beverage consumption! I know it’s not a great idea

@frozendaisy we've been there more times than we care to remember with England being so close. Ice pops are just the ticket. We are having a selection of pizza with salad and dips and not starting on the booze until about 7 pm. I hate these late kick offs. 😒

I’m enjoying the football, I will always watch whatever match is on, always put up bunting, wear my England shirt, fill in my chart and accept defeat gracefully 😆 But I’m not keen on what the USA has imposed on the game or how they do things. I’ll still watch and enjoy it

I was in the Tesco petrol station today making use of their air con too and the football songs came on. 30 years of hurt! Try doubling that.. Why do they have play the same old songs ? .. lol

I do cringe at the cheerleading- it's so bloody regressive.
