Wasn't sure where to put this, so ive put it here for now, as its where I put the Arsenal Premier League win one.

I'm really looking forward to the World Cup, and want an England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 win (although I am of course behind Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿!)

I've got the BBC sport notifications turned on, and will likely watch with the BBC, rather than ITV.

I'll be watching my matches from home alongside my dd and cat, who are both uninterested!

Anyone fancy joining me? Will you stay up for the games of the country youre supporting?

My lord, I was so nervous for Cape Verde there. So pleased for them.

I’ve cheers that as loudly at the Curacao goal. The most exciting bit of game I’ve seen so far as well those last 30 mins.

I am Cape Verde. They played well

Their defence was immense. And clean, Spain fouled far more than they did. Amazing result for them.

The half hour I saw the keeper was amazing.

I am reading and following the thread but doubt I will post much as I am not an expert in foot ball !

But I was very impressed with the CPV goalkeeper with him throwing himself around like that ....and even more so when I found out he is 40 !!

Spain are my favorites...but a bit disappointed tonight.
(I have a soft spot for one of their players !!)

Looking forward to France v Senegal tonight. Don't think Senegal will be a pushover. Another shock result maybe? Can Senegal hold the other cup favourites, France to a draw?

I still remember Senegal beating France in 2002, when they were the holders. It was hilarious.

I think there are a lot of PL league players who learn a language in other countries and adapt-hearing Anthony Gordon's press conference in Spanish was brilliant...

I think maybe as English is so widespread in other countries there is less pressure to learn other languages.

I have to say though, Olivier Giroud is not the greatest pundit...
