I'm really looking forward to the World Cup, and want an England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 win (although I am of course behind Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿!)

I've got the BBC sport notifications turned on, and will likely watch with the BBC, rather than ITV.

I'll be watching my matches from home alongside my dd and cat, who are both uninterested!

Anyone fancy joining me? Will you stay up for the games of the country youre supporting?

@RafaistheKingofClayTotally fair!. I'm an honorary Canadian just because we live here. I'm at a bar today and there's a fair few Bosnian supporters. It's a great atmosphere (Not sure what they're drinking, beer mostly by the looks of it)

It's going to be a strange world cup in our house. Canadian and Mexican matches fine, we are planning to boycott matches in America though (assuming dh doesn't cave for England).

So far, I 'm not impressed. Players and officials having to face blatant goverment approved racism, fans with visas cancelled at the last minute, support crews denied entry and Iran totally screwed over because Trump wanted to distract from Venezuela, which he caused to distract from the Epstein files.

The advert breaks dressed up as drinks breaks (do they think we are all as thick as Trump?) are ridiculous and will spoil the flow of the games. Anything for money though.

The BBC coverage of the first game in Canada has so far done nothing but talk about the American matches, and for the love of all that is good- stop calling the game fucking soccer. Stop pandering. I want to hear more about Canada, when the match is in Canada and Mexico when they are broadcasting from there. I'm avoiding American coverage for a reason.

It's the football world cup. Respect the spirt by using the correct bloody name.

I’ve had to onto the bbc website and watch the stream with the 5live commentary to find it. There was about 15mins of Dancing/music about an hr ago. Flags coming out now.
