How long/what distance is your commute?

How long does it take you to get to work and how many miles is it?

My current commute is 10 miles takes about 20mins.

I am considering a job that's 27miles and with traffic may take about 50/55 mins.

I'm pretty sure an hour is quite normal but I'm not sure if it's too far?

Current commute is 1 mile - a 15 min walk or 2 min drive in the mornings. I adore it after so many years stuck in traffic jams. Used to be nearly 5 miles with a 20 min drive but if DD needed dropped to school that could be anywhere up to an hour due to city centre traffic.

For me an hour would be far too much!

150 miles each way, takes 2.5hours ish door to door. Only do it once a week though.

About 15 miles mainly on rural roads so it takes about 25 mins. That's more than enough for me! I already get up at 6.15 to be at work for 8.15

I run my own business from home. So, between 1 and about 20 metres, depending which room I start from.

What I go in it's a 15 minute drive and then a five minute walk.

Wfh with a monthly visit to office which is 450 mikes away.

Door to door takes about 4.5-5 hours including a plane, train and automobile

In the past I've done daily commutes that ranged from 5 minutes to 90 minutes.

Never again.

An hour door to door but that's walking, train, tube. And I only do it twice a week. I think I'd find driving for an hour much more tiring.

Me: 17 miles. 35 mins
DH: 5 steps, 5 seconds.

Walk to work in 15-20 mins depending on pace.

I once did a driving commute that was 55 miles each way and would take around an hour and 10-20 minutes each way. Awful, never again. If there was an accident your whole day was basically zapped.

About an hour but only have to do it roughly once a month as can mostly wfh.

It's about 40km and takes 45 - 50 minutes but as I'm not sitting in traffic I don't mind . If I had to sit in bumper to bumper traffic then I wouldn't do it

30 miles, 75 mins

Going: 20 min walk 1 hour train
Returning: 1.5hour train and 20 min walk

5 days a week

20 - 30 minute bus ride depending on traffic.Then a 5 minute walk.

When not WFH, 15 miles, half hour. Previously used to commute daily to London, left home at 0640, 2 hours later got into the office. What a different lifetime that feels like now!!

5 mins if I get the bus or 20/25 mins if I walk.

15 minute drive

10 miles. 1 hour 20 if timed perfectly but I only do it once a week and have tonnes of flexibility. Walk, train, walk.

8 miles, between 30-45 minutes. Looking to relocate 3hrs away and have put in a statutory flexible homeworking request with 1 office day every 2 months...... finger's crossed

I have 10 minutes on the bike - perfect situation.

Don't know how many miles, as I commute into central London by public transport. It takes an hour and 20 minutes each way on average (walk/train/bus).

Just over a mile, 20 minute walk.

No idea on miles. 1 hr 20 door to door on trains. Standard in commuter belt
