Did you get a pay rise this year! If so how much?

I keep hearing wages are going up by X% in uk yet I should have been planning merits for my team by Mid may. It’s now June and we’ve not heard anything! Business has been worse than previous years but we did get a bonus (not the full one but bonus is a bonus). My team have said they’ve always had some kind of pay rise but I am concerned we’re not getting anything! What kind of industry are you in and did you get a pay rise this year?

No changed jobs for a £22k cut.

Ours is based on market data - anyone in line or above the median will get 3% payrise.

I got 4% - Insurance

I’m in retail and we got 10% in April 😊

Just under 10%.

No payrise or bonus for me. In fact the last payrise I got was 25p per hour and that was Jan 2021. Everyone else in the company has had substantial payrises each year, but not me.

3% so with inflation it's worth less than last year.

I’m a youth worker and got a 9% pay increase this year.

Charity sector - no pay rises for anyone and redundancies instead.

Looking for a new role.

Nope. I quit working for The Man and became self-employed. Year 1 meant an approximately 75% cut in gross pay 😳 but I am hoping this year will be better. And I don't have to answer to anybody any more, which is worth a lot.

2.5%. Way below inflation.

Time to look elsewhere unless you were already being paid over market rate and they are just equalising the others.

4.8% - retail distribution

3.7% this year.

Last year was 4%.

I am looking for a new role for various reasons and the pay is one of them.

Solicitor. Got just under 10%.

Not confirmed yet, national charity, negotiations should be down around Sept, 4% would be good, it'll probably be 1-2%.

Dp is NHS and their negotiations have just opened today (Scotland).

It's always so drawn out.

No zero percent across the business.

Yeah ours is delayed 3 months now. Pain in the butt. I work in a consulting firm for pharmaceuticals. Last year I got 3.3%.

3.5% in the Community Sector.

6% and due another 6% at the end of the year.

0%, which considering at least one of our teams is being nominated for international industry awards and my own team is being trotted out as industry leaders is a kick in the teeth.

4.5% pharma

5% for me. My organisation isn't loaded so I was quite pleased with that.

Nothing.
I work in the private sector.

8% last year, 4.5% this year.
