I’ve applied for a Work Coach role at the DWP. I’ve done the video interview and received an email to upload my ID documents. Does this mean I have passed the interview?

Hi, ive got my RTW work video call on Tuesday,is there much more to complete after that, I'm concerned that employers and HR will shut down for Xmas so processes will be slower....its such a massive application!! 😮😫
Is training any good, in the office or home?

Clarencefloss · 19/12/2020 12:37

Not much to do after that. They will come back with a start date for you about 2 weeks later. It is a long process but most civil service jobs take 6-9months normally to complete the whole process

Mayyaj · 19/12/2020 12:48

U should hear from them soon after the video call, I heard from them on the same day, the vetting checks take a long time, my training is at an office no home training available, good luck !

@Parsley1234

What hours daily is the training? All online?

Parsley1234 · 19/12/2020 14:15

@Hellotheresweet 930 - 430 ish all online in the office

Hi all I started as a work coach on 30/11 after applying in June. As I’ve transferred from another civil service department my transfer didn’t go through on time so I had 10 working days with no staff number which meant I couldn’t do a thing, my manager told me to bring a book in Hmm but I’ve been observing all the other staff and looking up universal credit on my phone etc. My training starts 04/01, I’ve got my staff number but done all the mandatory training so am again just scraping round finding things to do, my managers been pretty useless and has ignored me for most of the time!

Are you enjoying?

Hellotheresweet · 19/12/2020 16:48

@Parsley1234

Sorry that was for you

Parsley1234 · 19/12/2020 17:07

@Hellotheresweet I lost my three businesses in Covid I applied as rishi sunnack said they were employing 13500 work coaches back in may more as a joke than anything then I passed the interview stages but the travel was 70 mins each way so I applied for closer to home but didn’t get it I’m so glad I took it my work coach said I wd love it and he was right the money is fab the pension surreal I love helping people but to be honest a lot of the work is signposting for support. It’s creative they support you it’s nothing like what’s portrayed on the media

I've just found this thread, i have the interview to verify the ID etc booked, could someone who's done it tell me how it goes? Do they just want you to show the documents live on call? Will there be other questions?
Also any new starters, how are you finding it? Are you working from home?
How long was the training for it?
How is the job itself? Difficult?

Mayyaj · 21/01/2021 06:41

Hey

The id check interview is just a simple quick interview to confirm your identity and documents, the staff who interviewed me was so friendly, so nothing to worry about. I have started my training it’s going well a lot to take in but all good stuff !!

Good luck

goingtosaygoodbye · 21/01/2021 08:55

Mayyaj thank you!
Do you work in a office with others? (Thinking about covid risks) thanks?

Mayyaj · 21/01/2021 09:47

They do take precautions and they have made it as safe as they can - again all offices are different - just all depends where u are going to be located but I don’t think u have anything to worry about

KezzaL · 04/02/2021 11:14

Hi, I've read through the thread. Thank you. I'm at the ID vetting stage. I have an ID interview Friday. Is it just showing the original documents? Or do I need to prep for any thing else please? TIA x

Mrsbadger77 · 01/02/2022 21:24

I submitted my video interview two weeks ago and since then I've heard nothing. I'm assuming this means I've not been successful? Anyone had this long a wait and then been given a provisional offer?

Ibti · 28/11/2023 17:44

Hiya few years late but I wanted to know how do you know if you’ve been unsuccessful after the SJT. The application closed 23/11/23 and
