It's just too delicious. These arseholes think they're untouchable and it's about time they realised they're bloody not.

As much as I like the thought that this vile man has been charged I don't believe that his disgusting tweet is a criminal matter.

I agree with this. I rather suspect Ann Widdecombe would have done too.

It means he had his penis turned inside out to make a sort of pseudo 'vagina'.

I've put vagina in inverted commas because obviously its just a hole that needs regular dilation to stay open rather than the wondrous and lovely thing a real vagina is.

It has no controlable musculature, no self cleaning or lubricating, no clitoris encompassing it etc. I imagine it's a bit mediocre compared to the real thing.

And apparently they stink like an unclean bellybutton if you don’t clean it out properly as it has no natural lubrication. 🤮

Whatever they picked him up on, and whatever he was arrested under suspicion of, the police immediately can start search his stuff. And then use that to apply for wider searches. It escalates.

And Aberdeen University will have co-operated.

That's where his problem lies.

Theeyeballsinthesky · Today 18:59

The free speech union have posted on x offering to defend him if he joins

Not the brightest bulb in life's marquee, is he?

That is a really clever move, and entirely in keeping with their values. We should all support the FSU if we value democracy.

KittyWilkinson · Today 19:10

Good for them. That will be interesting to follow!

dottiehens · Today 19:10

Glad to hear. Bet he is happy to make a fuss about hate speech but do it to others himself. The hater!

Will he have a toilet in his cell down the nick, or will he have to use the men's.

In the cell usually. Police aren't interested in pandering to people wanting in and out of their cells all day and night, it would become farcical.

The exception is where they turn the water off to prevent the person using an opportunity to remove forensic evidence from themselves. One that's been gathered, they have access to a loo and hand washing facilities again.

Pleasantsort2 · Today 19:36

He's 50? Obviously ever grew up.

Good news though.

Bloody hell. He actually looks younger in a manky, troll sort of way.
I suppose having nothing much to worry you, except hating women does that to you. Oh dear, what a shame that has changed, boo hoo...

FlippinFumin · Today 19:37

Pingponghavoc · Today 17:51

Given they all seem to be charged with something, the polycule is looking unsteady.

I agree with, WerewolfOfLoudon i suspect the arrest has a lot more to do with historical bash back comments than the ann widdecombe ones.

I am very sure that Euan posted something about knowing what Bash Back had planned a while ago. Or that they knew something Bash Back were planning. Sorry it is so vague, my memory is not what it was.
Point is, I think Herbert and Euan are very much involved with Bash Back. And I think Bash Back may have been behind Ann's murder in some way. Even if only inciting someone else to act. As as the police are looking at them, finally, it looks as though they may be in trouble.

Thanks for the info, I ahem - have no prior experience of how it works!

My post was a little tongue in cheek though, given who we are discussing. 😉

But why aren’t BBC making clear he is a man? It’s not a woman making these comments, its another example of male aggression directed at a woman.

Yes, this was not what female a female said. It is typical of an aggressive male transwoman/transactivist. His sex is not irrelevant.

I’m sure you’re not alone in thinking this or something similar.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · Today 19:57

Quick reminder not to speculate too much on the nature of the charge and likely guilt or innocence.

Scots Law is strict on contempt of court. If there is too much speculation then MN may have to take the thread down.

Nofeckingway · Today 19:57

He/She/They/ It whatever title is chosen is a vile member of the human race . No idea why so much attention is given to this keyboard warrior loser. Nasty bitter twisted sod . Hope there is jail involved.

Freedom of speech for me, but not for thee.
Transphobic individuals can incite violence on innocent people or preach hate and it’s not against the law but when someone else expresses their free speech it’s against the law.

This is the opposite of what has been happening for years.

But I too hope he joins the free speech union.

And I can't see how that post disgusting as it was, merited an arrest and charge so there must be other things going on.

In case you are struggling with reading comprehension, the vast majority of comments here are supporting freedom of speech including the freedom to be offensive.

Herbert has pushed the boundaries of decency repeatedly across social media and might be about to find out that actions have consequences. Or the charges will come to nothing and he can crow about it.

He also has the option to join the FSU who have said they'll take the case if his charges relate to freedom of speech which is an amazing offer by them.
