I have read enough content written by trans identifying men to know that there are those out there who mock, belittle, and dehumanise women. They also appear to like threatening them, too.

Keffles (man who identifies as a woman) said “Being a trans woman isn't about trying to imitate women. It's about trying to be better than women.”

At least he wasn't talking about 'expectant arseholes' and 'dead eyes' being all that a woman is (like another man who identifies as a woman did).

The irony is that you are claiming to protect 'women's dignity' while completely erasing the thousands of biological women who are trans men, the mothers and sisters who support trans people, and the millions of cisgender women who fundamentally disagree with your bigotry. You don't speak for all women, and using womanhood as a shield for personal cruelty isn't dignified, it’s just sad.

I didn't say your intent was to mock. I said that the effect was to mock & degrade women. Narcissism is thinking that your selfish needs outweigh those of others.

We fought for the rights of women who identify as trans.

Their rights to pregnancy and maternity protections are clarified and protected in law as a direct result of the SC judgment.

But I'm glad we've got to the ad hom stage. The conversation always goes faster from here on in.

And you can't claim anything about women and how they feel about their dignity - because you are not one.

Do not attempt to speak for us or attribute anything to us (even though your desire to mansplain runs deep).

This is wonderfu! Disagreement doesn't mean 'erasing'. These people all still exist. And women's rights aren't 'bigotry'.

The SC judgment was concerned mainly with women's privacy, dignity, and safety. Which are all protected in law. Rightly.

Except there is no need to go through 'years' of anything, is there? Declaring 'I am a woman' is supposedly enough.

So, you are able to discern women's intention, but when we talk about men's intentions, you will explain how we are wrong.

This is an interesting bit of DARVO, too. Women fought for women's rights. That includes women who ID as 'trans men'.

Funnily enough we didn't see 'transwomen' even talk about 'transmen' until they thought they could be used as a gotcha.

Lots of trans identifying females talk about the inherent sexism in the 'trans' movement, funnily enough. Many have been affected by it.

If you don’t know what’s in someone else’s head, how can you be sure it’s the same as what’s in your head? Perhaps you have the same thoughts as all other men? How would you know?

If it was about body distress, cross dressing wouldnt help.

If it was about personal happiness, preferred pronouns wouldn't be an issue.

Whatever trans is, a four year old, a teen girl, and adult men do not have the same motivations, the same demands and the same impact on others.

The fact is, adult men start by cross dressing at home, then with friends, then in public. Surgery and drugs arent the first stage and more often than not, aren't a stage at all.

So whatever trans is to these adult men, everyone else is having to cope with transvestism. Just men wearing womens clothes, but demanding PP, to be called womens names, to see themselves as the most oppressed, the most marginalised and the most in need.

Indeed! I love to look inside people's heads sometimes (figuratively, of course!) and it's amazing how it goes both ways.

• Some people are convinced they are the only ones thinking or experiencing something, and are shocked to discover it's actually dead common. An often heart-breaking example is telling someone (usually a young person) about intrusive thoughts and about how they mean nothing on a morality plan.
• inversely, some people think that everyone thinks like they do. I like to give personality tests, not so much for the results (even though they are interesting, of course), but for the study of what people think is "normal". Like, asking the question "Do you like to be around people?" is utterly pointless if you don't check for factors such as, "How many people are you thinking of?", "What are the circumstances?", "How long does the interaction last?" and so on. The answers to those latter questions vary immensely from one person to another, and they are always surprised when I tell them that other people have a vastly different interpretation of the original question.

So yeah, making assumptions about what's in other people's heads is utterly unreasonable (no, the lady staring at you on the bus isn't judging your hair; she's lost in thought about the surgery her sister will undergo later today).

It's a poor treatment, given that those are not treating the cause; they are attempting to ameliorate symptoms without seeking the cause at all.

A bit like given someone whose heart-attack is presenting as indigestion a dose of Gaviscon (which will often work for a while to relieve the symptoms, which I find surprising). Or providing a wheel-chair for someone with a broken leg, but not setting the bones.
