Bonnie had an emergency intestinal operation and they put her in an induced coma. When they revived her, she was unresponsive. So sad.

Such a shame. RIP Bonnie Tyler.💙

A large iced coffee please gerbils and a pain au raisin. I've been out shopping this morning and I need fortifying before I catch up with the tribunal threads.

How on earth did we get the the point where we all have to give way to a few men who get excited wearing dresses and lipstick and some very vulnerable young people who have spent too much time on social media and have been led to believe their real self is not good enough! 😡

@AngleofReposethat basic 1 can of condensed milk plus 1 pint of double cream plus flavourings is the base for so many variations! If you add 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder at the beginning it makes great chocolate ice cream. Ditto coffee if you add espresso powder. Beat in half a jar of lemon curd (or some lemon essence for les sweet) for lemon ice cream. I have swirled caramel sauce and chocolate sauce through vanilla flavoured. One of the best isnrum and raisin - soak half a cup of raisins in half a cup of rum overnight and add that at the end. Brandy and dried cherries was ok but not as good. Strong flavours are best.

I've been reading the tribunal thread since I got back, in between getting piles of laundry done (everything dries in an hour), but am losing the will now. I especially liked the gif someone posted of Tom Cruise jumping off a cliff. Exactly 😀

Still relatively cool in the house, but have already decided, having seen the forecast for the next week, that everything outside will have to be done 6-10am for the foreseeable, including all my walks. I'm tired of summer already!

Very sad about Bonnie Tyler. I remember Total Eclipse of the Heart being on repeat on every Top 40 radio station when it first came out! (I actually liked the song, but I mostly listened to the rock and college stations)

Ladies and gerbils if you'd like to get your drinks and take your seats this evening's performance by the BTTG (Bonnie Tyler Tribute Gerbils) will begin shortly.

They wanted to do it at lunch but I've managed to put them off until now. They are starting to get a bit antsy.

First up is Germoleen performing "Believe in Me" The song Bonnie Tyler chose to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013.

Wow! So powerful. So moving.

Germoleen really has a great pair of lungs on her!

Next up is Gelda performing "I'm Just a Woman" from 1980

Gloria, thankfully sober (ish), is last up before the break, with an absolute belter of a song Holding Out for a Hero.

Loving the BT gerbil tribute, especially the costumes. I'm at choir this evening so I'll have proper listen when I return.

She was going to but mislaid her triangle and it all got too much for her. Geraldine has taken her for a walk round the goats paddock to calm down.

In my head she was always facing I to a wind machine with smoke billowing. Second single I ever bought was Total Eclipse Of The Heart.
