I'm starting to feel very uncomfortable with posters giving away that reddit poster's two names. We wouldn't like our previous posting name to be continuously linked with our new posting name on here, unless they refer to both themselves? I'm not on reddit so wouldn't know.

Back on topic - I'm very glad to see that the children's rights were considered and it wasn't just about Freddie and their false reality.

I take your point. He is so distinctive because he is so well-informed and, to a point, really very sensible. You can see why they think he is a secret TERF (although he does not say anything that would suggest he is) because he treats them to the facts.

There is also an interesting discussion on that thread about labels, and who falls within the umbrella. I have always said that the first hurdle for TRA ideology to become law is finding a workable definiton of trans.

HermioneWeasley · 26/06/2026 15:45

They are absolutely batshit. They actually believe this.

Yeah, scientists would already have worked out how to impregnate men if not for evil TERFs holding them back!

I don't think any of this would have happened if not for the Internet. I can't believe anyone would be this divorced from biology if they were frequently interacting face-to-face with other humans. You can see it from the way they describe themselves as being in "boy mode" or "girl mode", as though bodies are as customisable as video game avatars.

Voice0fReason · 26/06/2026 16:09

I am delighted with this news.
A birth certificate belongs to the person named on it. It is the child's document.
They have the right to have an accurate document. Mother is a biological fact and every child has the right to know where they come from biologically.

This comment 🤯

Huh. New gender dysphoria trigger unlocked apparently: when fellow trans people deny the reality of biological sex. I guess it must have to do with the cult-like gaslighting of it all or something.

MyAmpleSheep · 26/06/2026 15:54

He also feels the McCloud case was also rejected by the ECHR at the first sift, for whoever was asking about that.

That was me, thanks. Would it not be possible to find out if it has been thrown out?

Purely guesswork on my part - I imagine the party bringing forward the case (McCloud) would be told but perhaps there's no publication for all to see.

Voice0fReason · 26/06/2026 16:23

Oh my word, that Reddit thread is completely insane!

@Shortshriftandlethal she has 2 kids now (single parent as they were artificial insemination pregnancies) and she says on Insta that she is telling them she's their dad but also how they were created and born.

Edited to correct -artificial insemination, not necessarily IVF. I expect all the details are out there!

Edited

I thought Freddie described the second pregnancy as 'a happy accident'?

BoeotianNightmare · 26/06/2026 16:33

MinervaBoudicca · 26/06/2026 15:22

Freddy is a bundle of contradictions.
Beside the mother thing:
She took a load of testosterone and experienced male pattern baldness
She doesn't like this, so is now doing a hair transplant.
There seems to be an endless need for body modifications...

Surely for trans identifying females, a hair transplant is just another performance of being male. Deeply, deeply tragic for the kids.

It's not private information, he says it himself in his Reddit profile.

These people are off their heads:

I think we need to dismantle the concept of sex as it currently exists instead and say any level of transition counts as "altering your sex" when you account for sex itself not being purely a biological thing

"Any level of transition counts as altering your sex." So, when a man puts on lipstick, he is literally changing sex?

When I do decorating I wear an old sweatshirt of DH's.

Am I part bloke? Or am I missing whatever point these lunatics are trying to make?

I was very surprised to see this thread title/post, and had to follow the link before I was sure it wasn't a typo with ECHR instead of EHCR!

Just my thought!

I am surprised but pleased as they seem such a transed organisation.

My mum’s 80ish yo neighbour insisted on helping me drag some furniture out to the kerb, saying she grew up with three brothers and always mucked in. I picked up something heavy and she laughed and said “You’re like me, half a man!” Maybe you are half a man too? 😀

I wear unisex/men’s clothes fairly often. I’ve not grown a penis yet, when can I expect my Y chromosome? Will it be in the post or is it some kind of magic beans type thing?

So that's the fiction adjacent to "her penis'.

I feel most sorry for her children.

BoeotianNightmare · 26/06/2026 16:34

Oh you could be right, it might just have been the first that I'd read about.

She planned to give birth to her second child in Sweden, so she could be named as the “father” on the birth certificate, but had an emergency c-section in the UK.

From Wikipedia. McConnell announced his second pregnancy in August 2021,[12] with plans to give birth in Sweden in order to be listed as the child's father, rather than mother, on their birth certificate.[13] His second child was born in the UK in January 2022 via emergency c-section.

Also hasn’t stated her child’s sex.

If she really is dysphoric, why would she do the most female thing possible and have two children?

I don’t have dysphoria, but I never wanted children. I just don’t understand this at all.

Wishesandhorses · 26/06/2026 18:14

That almost makes it sound as though the main point of having the second child was to get 'father' on a piece of paper.
