Hove GP put kids at harm by prescribing hormones without proper assessment or monitoring, damning report finds

A Hove GP practice prescribed cross-gender hormones to scores of children after “wholly inadequate” assessments, and without properly explaining the risks or making sure they understood them, an NHS investigation has found.

One of the GPs who worked at WellBN has been suspended as a result of the investigation, which was published this afternoon.

I think this has only happened thanks to the perseverance of one of the fathers of the children harmed.

This is a massive fuckup. I can’t believe children as young as 13 were given cross sex hormones.

It makes me furious when I think of the idiots who’ve spent ages trying to deny that 13 yr olds get this sort of treatment in the uk, AFTER Cass ffs

How the fuck did it get to this? And then they carried on when it was banned?!

I bloody hope Nick Wallis writes something to add the esteemed number of people who’ve tried so very hard to bring the issues to the public’s attention. At least all those who watched the post office scandal but still ignore this absolute catastrophe of child safeguarding might open their cloth ears.
