Sadly, not a Monty Python sketch.

Matt Rattley, a large bearded bloke who wears giant fake breasts, appears to be happily working at Oxford Uni.

I was really hoping this wasn't true but there is even a youtube video with him talking while wearing the giant breasts and red lipstick, applied to a degree any circus clown would be accused of overdoing it. The video includes a slide stating he works as a lecturer and tutor in the Biochemistry Dept at Oxford. He's also on LinkedIn.

I mean, how obvious can it be that this is a sexual fetish which he is involving unconsenting students and staff in???

Dr P on X has been (correctly) very robust on this case:

""This is Matt Rattley saying, "I can do whatever I please and nobody can stop me".

This is highly antisocial, abnormal, boundary-violating, paraphilic behaviour.

And we should not be afraid to say so."

Oh FFS 🤦‍♀️

DramaAndBullshit · 26/04/2026 09:02

If a woman did something like this she would be marched into HR.

But Matt is stunning and brave.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 26/04/2026 09:04

I am 64. For the great majority of my lifetime, any man (or woman) attempting something like this could expect to be arrested and would end up either in prison or in some kind of mental health treatment. What on earth has happened to us that this kind of behaviour is now expected to be accepted without comment, or even celebrated? I just don't get it.

Helleofabore · 26/04/2026 09:04

I have been seeing this on twitter. Is this real?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 26/04/2026 09:06

It appears to be. Very odd indeed.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 26/04/2026 09:07

classic example of the chilling effect in action. I'd bet my entire house that absolutely everyone thinks he looks at best like an absolute bellend and at worse like a walking fetish but absolutely no one dare say anything for fear that the stunning and brave wrath of the TRA will descend upon them

i wonder if a trans man sporting a 9 inch dildo rammed into their trousers would receive the same "nothing to see here" treatment.

weegielass · 26/04/2026 09:13

it reminds me of the teacher in canada with the massive breasts.

I really hope it isn't true and I would be very relieved if I need to ask for MN to delete this thread for not being true.

I did do a bit of Googling before posting, as it is so bizarre. There is definitely a person called Matt Rattley working as a lecturer in Biochemistry at St Hilda's college (no photo).

And back in 2022 Matt Rattley is as one of the winners of the Vice-Chancellor's Education Awards 2022, with a photo of someone who'd I say is the same bloke, standing at the back, just without any giant breasts.

Just check out his LinkedIn account. The profile picture is like the ones above.

Lady1576 · 26/04/2026 09:46

Has he made an internet thread about you asking lots of people to point, laugh and be disgusted by him? Right then. Why are you doing that about someone you don‘t know? What you are doing is online bullying, and kinda online stalking. It‘s weird to choose a non-celebrity and search the internet for their work place and find photos of them at normal events that have nothing to do with their fetish or extra-curricular activities, and then encourage other people to do the same. Your main issue seems to be that he has a job at a good university and is being allowed to function as a human. Have you decided he is not allowed to do that because he is a bit weird? What would you like to happen to him? Would you ideally prefer it if he was put in prison, shunned, stoned for being weird? Last time I checked, fundamental British values included, ‚you can live as you like if it doesn‘t harm others’. And no, just because you re-frame it as ‚involving others in a fetish‘ doesn’t mean you are being harmed, because you don‘t work with him or have to see him or interact with him at all.

Have we all got this, yet? We mustn't care about anyone else. It only counts if we personally work with him. So you mustn't care about the female Oxford students who are faced with this. Don't care about women prisoners being housed with trans identifying men, unless you are in the prison with them. Don't care about women being told to reframe their trauma at Edinburgh Rape Crisis unless you're in the room too.

Thank you, @Lady1576 , for telling us what we are allowed to do and who we are allowed to care about.

hahahahaha honestly - tho I mean fair play for trying

he's showing his contempt for women every single day by turning up in a giant pair of fake comedy breasts.

What I'd like to happen to him is that he's not allowed to wear giant fake comedy breasts to work and up till about 3 years ago he'd have been told in no uncertain terms not too - hell he wouldn't have even contemplated trying to get away with it

Any other fetishes you think should be allowed at work perhaps? Gimp masks?? Butt plugs??

this is where "bring your whole self to work" gets us

What part of a male wearing large prosthetic breasts in a work situation is not questionable as appropriate workplace behaviour ?

You lack boundaries. I’ll just pop on a gimp mask and diaper for work tomorrow, a perfectly acceptable uniform in a ‘Lady’s’ world I expect.

And what about the discomfort of others? Do they not matter? Only his comfort matters? You’re a do-gooder aren’t you?

Just think again about who the bully is here.

This man is mocking women by wearing ridiculous fake breasts and absurd make up to work.

Women who object to being mocked in this way are not bullies for pointing this out.
