Just pointing this out, separate from any threads it may have been mentioned on, so people not involved on those threads can be aware.

Does anyone know where/when it will be published?

It is such a deflection to say more women are attacked in the home

Maybe so, but we still need to protect women outside the home

MissGendering · 14/04/2026 15:40

[Libdem sits down and rubs her nose. There was a lot of nose rubbing. Maybe the sniffle us what made her talk so fast]

Ahh, that old trans fantasy that no one knows they are trans until they use a third space, which then "outs them"🙄

Can't stand this one. I joined the wrong queue a few months ago (wanted the bar, joined the queue for the gents') and within five seconds someone explained to me I was in the wrong queue. No genital inspection or anything. How did he know I'm female??? It's so impossible to tell! It's such private information!!!

TheNoWord · 14/04/2026 15:41

Claire Coutinho now, who is ace 😍
Conservative MP and Shadow Minister (Equalities)

MissGendering · 14/04/2026 15:42

Another woman up know - thanking Darlington nurses and FWS. Shameful BP had to be shamed into meeting FWS. Deeply destructive and divisive . She talks really well. Tory I think?

Raquelos · 14/04/2026 15:42

Oh wow she's not pulling her punches. Love to see it

GreyskySexRealistsky · 14/04/2026 15:43

CC: if you argue for women's rights you get accused of being bigoted

Yessss!

Thank you, she.is excellent.

If you stand up for women and gurls you are labelled a bigot. This religion of/hierarchy of diversity is harming women and girls. (She's talking also about the Southport victims) - CC

TheNoWord · 14/04/2026 15:45

The final word will go to Olivia Bailey, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Department for Education) (Equalities).

She was shit on GMB a few days ago, so expect more waffling.

GreyskySexRealistsky · 14/04/2026 15:46

CC: Labour ministers are stalling because they're too scared of upsetting activists on their own side.
Meanwhile women suffer.
Darlington nurses, Jennifer Melle etc.
Women and girls are being denied their rights on a daily basis

MissGendering · 14/04/2026 15:46

Befire minister.tries.to fob us off - they announced about potholes.yesterday! Plenty of announcements. Just another.excuse. They stall and women suffer. Mentions Sandie Peggie and the other nurses. Men in ERCC. Female prisoners. Orgs are failing to comply. Women are denied their rights daily. This is cowardice. We deserve better.

GreyskySexRealistsky · 14/04/2026 15:47

Claire C's speech is really excellent.
Women and girls deserve better.

MissGendering · 14/04/2026 15:48

Why did it take months for govt to submit a narrow range of commments and what where they? Did Bp instruct guidance to be toned down? What resources for EGRC will help enforce? When will code be laid?

MissGendering · 14/04/2026 15:48

Its that woman now. Olivia thingummy.

MissGendering · 14/04/2026 15:48

Nice suit.

TheNoWord · 14/04/2026 15:48

Olivia Bailey was responsible for the no-platforming of Julie Bindel when she was with the NUS.
(Another Labour MP who has never had a real job).

MissGendering · 14/04/2026 15:49

Basic govt pablum. Single sex spaces. Respect and protect. Etc. Anxiety by trans community deeply concerned.

MissGendering · 14/04/2026 15:50

She has the intonation of a train platform announcer.

GreyskySexRealistsky · 14/04/2026 15:50

We will lay the code in May after local elections

MissGendering · 14/04/2026 15:50

Lay code in May. Workplaces. Seek legal advice. Crystal clear.

IdaGlossop · 14/04/2026 15:51

I've just read an X/Tweet from Sex Matters. It explains that the provisions of the 2006 Equalities Act give responsibility for producing guidance to the EHRC. There is no provision for ministers to amend the draft. Yet Bridget Phillipson has amended it. What we need now is a push for the changes to be published and a case to be brought against her.

Shortshriftandlethal · 14/04/2026 15:51

I suspect as someone has already said this is an exercise in massaging the message, not an attempt to ignore the ruling. The ruling is the ruling, and it is the law.

MissGendering · 14/04/2026 15:51

Its the hokey cokey libdem lady

TheNoWord · 14/04/2026 15:51

“All government departments are complying with the law”.

Oh no they aren’t Olivia!

SylvanMoon · 14/04/2026 15:51

Forresty · 14/04/2026 12:13

So, various things can/will happen with the Code of Practice in May re its laying before Parliament:

  • Phillipson loses her seat - not her problem any more

  • Phillipson retains her seat, but is reshuffled to a different role - not her problem any more

  • Phillipson retains her seat, is not reshuffled - now it's still her problem

  • Phillipson retains her seat, gets involved in (another) leadership bid - kicks problem down the road again

It's all so cynical 🙄

The May elections are local elections, not Parliamentary, so Phillipson is not in any danger of losing her seat between now and then.
