Well I wasn't first but I was earlier than usual!

So a few teething troubles but nothing out of the ordinary. I'll just let everything settle down and pop back tomorrow when everything is in ordnung.

BTW, I do hope that Boily's Tunnock stash has been safely transferred and we won't see an unseemly squabble with Magpiecomplex about possession being nine tenths of the law.

I'd hoped to get my weight down via exercise alone, but realised that it was a forlorn hope, so I'm now counting calories again.

Does this pub serve food. If so, does it include calorie free fish, chips and peas? Only haddock, please - not cod.

Perhaps I can huddle up to the Snowball stash Hedgie while that happens. @Hedgehogforshort , are you snuggle-up-to-able, for Bluestocking people, or do your quills prevent that? If we receive your permission first, of course.

My step mum knits clothes for Ukrainian children, so I donated my two balls of Home Bargains yarn as I knew I wouldn't use them. She has made this which I think is fantastic so I wanted to share.

I think the sleep gerbils must be tired out with the move. They don't seem to be visiting me tonight.

I just read the post by Myrtle about measurements for a cake. I learnt in french about the quatre quarts cake - 4 quarters. 4 eggs, 250g / quarter kilo of flour, sugar and butter. I thought this was terribly clever of the French and was sure we had nothing like it. An American friend pointed out that this is what pound cake is - a pound of sugar, marg and flour, plus I can't remember how many eggs, so I guess not quite as easy as the french version. And the American version would be massive.
