Gender critical councillor challenges Cornwall Council over trans comment complaints

A gender critical councillor, Dulcie Tudor, is challenging Cornwall Council's decision to progress ten complaints against her as "discriminatory and potentially harassing".

The council has hired an outside barrister at taxpayers' expense on the matter after it received ten complaints about her comments. She has branded it 'shameful, discriminatory and potentially harassing'.

The complaints that she breached the council's code of conduct stem from a full Cornwall Council meeting in November - and subsequent comments made on social media by Cllr Tudor - when she asked the council's Liberal Democrat leader Cllr Leigh Frost if a trans woman is a woman.

It's going to be a great festival, not just
ARMCHAIR SUCCUBI
but also
NEST OF VIPERS
and featuring
THE PROSECCO STORMFRONT

I'm getting a heavy metal vibe from all that... I'm not really into that, so
could our visiting critics come up with some insults that would sound a bit more Electronic Dance Music-ish, please?

NumbersGuy? any EDM-friendly insults for us?

Welcome to Worstival.

Arm-chair Succubi would be a great name for a band.

Sounds like an old-school Marillion song to me

MarieDeGournay · 26/02/2026 11:53

You have to hand it to our visiting critics like NumbersGuy - they often give us inspiration for some very entertaining trains of thoughtSmile

Sorry to be that person, but can we not joke about the prosecco stormfront slur? It's a really nasty misogynist jibe that has been made about MN (not just FWR) for years basically claiming MN posters are Nazis / right wing extremists.

It's risable, but using it even in jest opens us up to being painted as finding Nazism funny or inconsequential.

Nest of Vipers, Armchair Subbucci and Gargoyles of Beelzebubb I am right behind though!

It makes no sense how the Gender Recognition Act 2004 allowed transgender people to legally change their gender from their birth sex to their "acquired gender" (male or female) by obtaining a Gender Recognittion Certiicate, which enabled individuals to change their birth certiicates and their legal sex for all purposes, including marriage, taxes and pensions.

This has been law for nearly 22 years, and now people are making all of these complaints in 2026? You would think that the TERF Island Council transvestigators would actually learn some history that it's highly unlikely the rights will be repealed. The UK has always been forward-thinking in focusing on equality for all of its people, yet arm-chair succubi keep thinking the longer they complain then it will have an impact to discriminate a group of people. Shameful that such wasted vitriol still exists today and a want to go back to the Dark Ages.

Except of course you know that the act didn’t actually change someone’s legal sex for all purposes, primogeniture being one that obviously benefits males.

And - single sex spaces.

They were always single sex. We just had to prove it.

TWETMIRF · 26/02/2026 14:24

Not a single person has complained before 2026. None of the court cases prior to this year have been about problems with the GRA. FWS at the supreme court definitely wasn't, no, nope, nothing to see here.

Wait- you mean the writers of the GRA knew that when it comes to money, status and power women can't literally and actually become men? Why isn't Jolyon on the case?

If I have kept up with the 'Who's Who' of our delightful interlopers, I think that Numbers is from North America, so possibly someone who knows the square root of fuck all regarding the UK.

Or he's a chronic insomniac posting at 2am, which tends to cloud the thought processes. 😉

ps did they have armchairs in the "Dark Ages"?

They were always single sex. We just had to prove it.

And the fight - ongoing - to prove this right itself indicates that rights can go backwards, even when they've been cemented in law and the social contract for decades.

Women's rights, anyway. Maybe those don't count?

(Please change your name, Numbers! I've said it before, and I'll say it again, it really does make any illogicality/inconsistency stand out even more than it otherwise would...)

Totally agree.

The GRA makes no sense at all.

I too have no idea why TRAs have only recently started making complaints about not being allowed to infringe on women's rights. It shouod be obvious to the trans investigators indeed that women's rights aren't going to be repealed - we're half the population, and despite what they d like to believe, women are actually people too.

Also agree, the constant complaining that they don't have more rights than anyone else is getting very old, and no idea why they think whining about 'be kind' is a legitimate strategy.

Absolutely shameful, and wanting to relegate women and girls to second class support humans with no rights over their own bodily autonomy, consent, or dignity is straight out of the dark ages.

This seems to have been written by someone who has been circulating in out space for the past 2 decades.

First doesn't know what the GRA intended, nor that if not for the whole 2 decades certainly since the attempt to bring in sefl id there has been ongoing rejection, not so much of the law, but the fact that Stonewall and offers went out of their way to lie to people (and take money for doing that) by saying having the "legal sex" of a GRC was the same as being someone born that sex.

And even though everyone knew that, because they wouldn't admit they had been taken in by Stonewall For Women Scotland took the case to the Supreme Court of the UK who said it was obvious that the use of the word in the EA referred / meant biological females.

So sorry NG, whatever orbit you have been in, it has clearly rattled your brain.

Women and those who believe is sex based rights have been right all along.

All those people who attempted to bully women in to accepting men with a GRC (around 10,000 in total in the UK) as thought they are the same as actual women are not only just wrong but have been ganging up and trying to deprive women of their rights.

And not only that the Supreme Court ruling has restored equal right to women which some TRAs were trying to deprive them off by falsely asserting a man with a GRC is the same as a biological female.

Women are not, and the law recognises that they do not second class citizens to men's idnetities, whether guenuine disphoria or jumping on the band wagon of organised misogyny.
