Gender critical councillor challenges Cornwall Council over trans comment complaints

A gender critical councillor, Dulcie Tudor, is challenging Cornwall Council's decision to progress ten complaints against her as "discriminatory and potentially harassing".

The council has hired an outside barrister at taxpayers' expense on the matter after it received ten complaints about her comments. She has branded it 'shameful, discriminatory and potentially harassing'.

The complaints that she breached the council's code of conduct stem from a full Cornwall Council meeting in November - and subsequent comments made on social media by Cllr Tudor - when she asked the council's Liberal Democrat leader Cllr Leigh Frost if a trans woman is a woman.

No further action. No breach of Code of Conduct.
What a surprise!

Thanks for posting this.

Typical.

Not forgetting that part of making a complaint like this is to punish women with the process.

Though seems this process wasn't that long.

Very surprised it was wrapped up this quickly. Perhaps they'd seen what's happened in other cases and decided it wasn't worth pursuing. They'd already cocked up redacting the complainants' information.

IwantToRetire · 26/02/2026 00:59

Or maybe having revealed who the complainants were they didn't want to go through with the complaints.

Which they would have happy to do if they weren't identified.

Part of the enjoyment for them, tormenting a woman but from behind a mask.

I almost wish they would publish the text of the complaints so it can be known what was said that failed.

Well, she knows now who her enemies are, if she didn't already.

It makes no sense how the Gender Recognition Act 2004 allowed transgender people to legally change their gender from their birth sex to their "acquired gender" (male or female) by obtaining a Gender Recognittion Certiicate, which enabled individuals to change their birth certiicates and their legal sex for all purposes, including marriage, taxes and pensions.

This has been law for nearly 22 years, and now people are making all of these complaints in 2026? You would think that the TERF Island Council transvestigators would actually learn some history that it's highly unlikely the rights will be repealed. The UK has always been forward-thinking in focusing on equality for all of its people, yet arm-chair succubi keep thinking the longer they complain then it will have an impact to discriminate a group of people. Shameful that such wasted vitriol still exists today and a want to go back to the Dark Ages.

So is that a decision that council have made that she wasn’t harassed and just has to suck it up? Until next anonymous complaint.

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 26/02/2026 06:06

That's good to hear, hopefully FSU will give more details on why the council came to this decision, maybe something to do with freedom of expression and the attempt to subvert democracy but silencing an elected official. I won't hold my breath though.

arm-chair succubi

Imaginative and quite revealing thought processes demonstrated here.

Beowulfa · 26/02/2026 08:54

Arm-chair Succubi would be a great name for a band.

I agree completely with the first paragraph. The GRA makes no sense whatsoever.

We've worn him down with our logic😁

FlirtsWithRhinos · 26/02/2026 10:40

I wonder if ArmchairGuy thinks the same about slavery or votes for women or marital rape - it took a very long time before the anti slavery and suffragist and feminist movements were large enough to be heard, so I guess they weren't legitimate either.

Where is boiled beetle with the ai pictures when you need them?

also agree with the first paragraph, it makes no sense at all.

How to let people know you don't know much about the past 22 years, without saying it in so many words!

Objections to the GRA were on record from when it was first proposed.
There have always been people who used the rational part of their brain, and saw that making a law which is based on an impossibility - human's can't change their sex - was never going to work out well for society as a whole.

All that's happening in 2026 is that more people are catching on to what's wrong with the GRA, and the negative consequences it has had in so many areas of life.

CassOle · 26/02/2026 11:08

If I have kept up with the 'Who's Who' of our delightful interlopers, I think that Numbers is from North America, so possibly someone who knows the square root of fuck all regarding the UK.

Arm-chair Succubi would be a great name for a band.

It's going to be a great festival, not just
ARMCHAIR SUCCUBI
but also
NEST OF VIPERS
and featuring
THE PROSECCO STORMFRONT

I'm getting a heavy metal vibe from all that... I'm not really into that, so
could our visiting critics come up with some insults that would sound a bit more Electronic Dance Music-ish, please?

NumbersGuy? any EDM-friendly insults for us?

SlackJawedDisbeliefXY · 26/02/2026 11:18

In the vein of describing people and their chairs, how about gaming-chair onanist

CassOle · 26/02/2026 11:31

Numbers called us 'Heretics' on another thread.

Maybe The Heretics could fulfil your Electronic Dance Music needs?
