My socials are full of very sad people being very sad that Guiding is for girls. It seems lots of leaders are threatening to quit.

i feel the opposite. If I find a unit that knows that girls need single sex groups then I’d volunteer.

No, you are not a woman. You are a man who wishes he had been born female, but sadly you weren't. I wish I hadn't been born with poor sight and other physical impairments, but I was and I've had to live with them all my life and cope. Time for you to do the same.

Hopefully the comments that you see on this thread will allay any concerns you may have that anyone wants to kill you. "Get rid" in this context means to remove biological males who identify as women from leadership positions in girl guiding, not murder.

Biological males can be leaders in girl guiding, irrespective of whether they wear skirts or trousers. They need to be paired with females who they aren't related to.

The argument for getting rid of biological males who identify as women from these roles is mostly for safeguarding, because it's impossible to know which of them are autogynophiles.

Unfortunately girl guiding is going to be very attractive to autogynophiles who see it as an opportunity to join girls in their accommodation on camps or in other single-sex spaces. Thankfully, the law now says no to biological males entering single-sex spaces for girls and women.... but sadly there will always be autogynophiles who look for ways to subvert this.

Hopefully that allays any concerns you might have had? Obviously not all transwomen are autogynophiles but when a single-sex organisation involves children, a cautious safeguarding approach is important.

I very much hope that women with gender critical views return to girlguiding to help restore to the organisation.

All the bleating has been about the trans girls. What are they supposed to do? Not my problem, but perhaps join Scouts? Set up your own youth organisation rather than piggybacking on the free labour of women?

I don't understand why so many people don't understand it's about complying with the law of the land.

And btw Girl Guides tell the truth. A boy in a girl guide uniform is still a boy. Lying to him or the other girls isn't kind.

I would send my kids to our local units as I know several of the leaders all openly stated they'd quit if they were ever put in the position of being forced to allow biological males to share toilets and rooms/tents with biological females. A few got absolutely slated for it as well.

On the other hand the reaction of a local scout group has ensured my kids will never go there. They basically posted that they are inclusive, they won't be asking questions and if you say you are male or female you'll be fully treated as such. Someone asked if that meant they'd be allowing mixed sex groups to share rooms on trips and there was a resounding "girls will share with girls. Boys will share with boys." and the person was labelled as a bigot for pushing further. It has since been deleted but it was very telling of their attitude.

But what about the non binary kidz? Those scouts are BIGOTS!

A woman is an adult human female. That is in law and has been the reality of biology since the WORLD AND CIVILISATION BEGAN. If leaders want to quit over this then good riddance. Young girls needs to be lead by people who understand safeguarding and are realistic about the nature of men. We need leaders who want to protect and raise up girls. Not turn them into handmaids.

I agree but the problem is that the trans issue has been sold to the public as a fight for rights for the most marginalised and vulnerable folks in society, and that denying trans identifying folks everything they want at all time is literal genocide.

That was a bit flippant but I think the problem is that a lot of people desperately want to be 'kind' and in being 'kind' to trans identifying boys they dont recognise that they are being unkind to girls. Not only do they want to be 'kind' but they need to be seen as kind. They just dont see that calling a little boy she/her and telling the other girls that despite the evidence of their eyes and ears that this is another girl just like them and they must protect this vulnerable child at all costs leads to Isla Bryson in a women's prison via young girls being taught that their evolved instincts are bad and wrong result inevitably in harm to women and girls.

The way the activists have embedded this ideology in every public body with #no debate at its heart was key in how this got this far.

If the people at the top of an organisation are telling you that this is right and just and moral and that to not accept without question that trans people are always exactly who they say they are and to not agree makes you a nasty bigot and the issue is exactly the same as anti LGB discrimatory practices most busy people who are just tryiong to ghet on with their jobs and lives and not going to argue and will go along for an easy life. Especially if the people telling you this guff are people you normally respect and go to for directions and guidance.

The muddlying of common language was also necessary to ensure that this could be embedded so utterly.

No. I used to run a unit. Having seen the hierarchy bully and push out amazing, hard working leaders (that they desperately need) for raising concerns about this and other things. I’m really done with it.

i wouldn’t go to scouts either though. The safe guarding is lax and around here the leaders are so rude. I don’t want girls involved in it
