I'm glad I once got the chance to see him live. It was at the Grand Opera House in Belfast. It must have been his last tour. He'd had to cancel a few gigs because of bronchitis, and I suppose it turned out not to be bronchitis.

I think Colin escaped with his own fur in your first pic. He probably wouldn’t mind a knitted jumper when he’s outside, though my dachshunds disdained clothing except if we stopped for a picnic at the top of a windy hill.

oh, and if anyone wants to dress him up for Halloween, be aware that inflicting a ‘hot dog on a bun’ suit on him may be one of the few misdemeanours which might result in a ban.

I am officially "poorly ick", as they say, demonstrated by being deeply asleep despite the pile of Tunnocks delivered by the gerbils. They have obviously become bored by my somnolence as they have departed the scene. Which means very bored indeed.

You really do need to emulate lions and spend most of your time asleep. Fortunately you don’t need to do the hunting for antelope across the Serengeti part.

I don't do Halloween either but I like to think that with my starry dress I am always rather dressed up!
