For example, the above.

Whatever people think about Elon, underestimating him is never a good idea.

The wikipedia article on Grokipedia is a good laugh
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grokipedia
For example it is marked down for suggesting that the raise in trans identified people can be partly attributed to social media.

If a Grokipedia article appears above a Wikipedia article, in search results, you will find it takes eye balls from wikipedia quickly.

"Mumsnet's defining characteristic lies in its unfiltered discourse, which has sparked controversies, including legal threats from public figures over user critiques and recent advertiser boycotts by companies like Ocado, who cited discomfort with the site's gender-related debates as harboring "hateful" views, despite the platform's defense of open biological sex discussions against institutional pressures for conformity.[5][6][7] This resistance to censorship has positioned Mumsnet as a counterpoint to mainstream narratives, prioritizing user-driven realism over curated sensitivity.[1]"

Go MN, go. 🥳

We're all part of the resistance now. ✊

As if Elon and his band of misogynist gremlins are worth our support. They can’t just do one good thing and expect us to forget everything else.

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 28/10/2025 19:36

If it weren't for Elon buying Twitter and unbanning the GC account holders, we'd still be silenced and censored. Whatever his faults, and yes he has many, I doubt the tide on this batshittery would be turning by now. Without the opportunity to voice any opposition to this lunacy, we'd be as captured as the rest of the West by now. Like it or not we owe him.

Christinapple · 28/10/2025 20:48

"less biased"

Yeah right. Elon just hates the left and wants to use his power as the richest man to try and control both politics and the internet. That's why he bought Twitter to stir up hatred against groups of people he dislikes and to try and manipulate the UK into voting Reform. His "grokipedia" is just the next step to manipulate people into becoming more racist and extremist.

You know, because the right never do anything bad /s. Here's an article from today about a far-right Neo-Nazi in Dundee who posted glorification videos about Hitler on social media was caught with a gun in his shed.

$44 billion is a lot of money to pay just so he could manipulate the UK into voting Reform. 🤣

LizzieSiddal · 28/10/2025 20:54

No sorry I don’t like the man.
He aligns himself to anyone he thinks will give him power and with his billions, that’s a very dangerous man.

Ha ha ha. Man sets up an alternative to Wikipedia, and you think a rebuttal is "Look, a Nazi nutter did something in Dundee!!!" 😆

Yup, everyone sure underestimated the incompetence behind the Doge & Tesla collapse.

Grok is notoriously considered a joke as an AI platform compared to others.

Neither Musk (a right-wing bigot) or his stupid AI are free from bias. How about you stop infecting a feminist board with this toxic rubbish because it happens to somewhat align with the commonsense position on one particular issue?

IIRC, JKR - peace be upon her - wasn't banned before he invited Nazis back onto the platform and nor was anyone else of any note.

There are degrees of bias…

At least Wikipedia is a collaborative model with reliance on citations that you can link to judge how reliable they are.

Yes Tesla has collapsed. Absolutely. Can’t even give those shares away.

be a grown up and separate not liking someone and achievements.

bet Grokipedia outshines Wiki in audience within 18 months.

No. No you can’t.

for example I got on a very long argument with the idiots there about how pink News was not a reliable source.

I was essentially bullied into going away.

Wikipedia is an absolute cesspool pit of activist nonsense on anything slightly political.

they refuse to even mention someone is trans gender and consistently lie about birth sex and gender.

you can’t trust them for anything.

Graham Linehan, Helen Staniland, Megan Murphy were, I suppose it depends on who you consider 'of any note'. 🤔

GallantKumquat · 28/10/2025 22:12

I've really be shocked by the degree of bias in Google Gemini compared to MS Copilot. It's been a real eye opener. The number of times when it simply refuses to answer questions on anything related to trans, gender critical, Trump, or left omni-cause orthodoxy is striking.

On many occasions it will suggest further questions on a topic and then refuse to answer those questions due to safety concerns. Sometimes refusing to respond to questions about why a certain question was wasn't answered, requiring a elliptical phrasing: "why is it forbidden to ask questions about why it's forbidden to ask questions about <X>."

TempestTost · 28/10/2025 22:31

There is no doubt that Wikipedia is so biased on some topics that it undermines it on all topics.

But I don't really see how Musk's model here is in any way built of stronger foundations, whether it happens to be more accurate on any particular topic or now.

Ultimatly, with all sources, be it a work from a publisher, university output, the journal Nature, or AI content - depend on trust. And if we don't trust the process and the source, they are useless.

Christinapple · 28/10/2025 22:34

Ellerby · 28/10/2025 20:58

Ha ha ha. Man sets up an alternative to Wikipedia, and you think a rebuttal is "Look, a Nazi nutter did something in Dundee!!!" 😆

From Grok: "Grokpedia leverages xAI's Grok to synthesize knowledge from diverse sources, prioritizing maximum truth-seeking over consensus-driven editing. Wikipedia, by contrast, depends on volunteer editors whose biases—often left-leaning—can distort entries on controversial topics. Grokpedia minimizes human subjectivity, focusing on verifiable facts and logical reasoning for a more reliable reference. Version 0.1 already outperforms Wikipedia in neutrality, with rapid improvements ahead."

https://x.com/grok/status/1982984392562913324

In other words "Wikipedia bad because it isn't as racist as I want it to be. So here's an alternative I want to replace it with that aligns more with my own [elon musk's] personal views"

Peace be upon her??? Is she a prophet from God or something now?

Except possible potential harassment (she has singled out individual trans people for her followers to harass) she hasn't directly threatened violence against LGBT people or their supporters (to my knowledge, I haven't seen all her posts) like GL has.

I have her habitually never used Google products for the last 15 years because of their incredibly invasive privacy policies and the way they treat humanity as stock to increase their data knowledge

It’s no surprise to me that they’re AI is not trustworthy or interested in having a wide range of conversations and it is captured

ChatGPT for sure has some issues but it’s pretty great at dealing with a lot of of this stuff. I have been very very impressed with Grok however. It seems to be much more on the ball and much more unfiltered and unbiased.
