It all went off very well. The capybaras were relieved that Emmeline didn't smash any of the windows. The gerbils returned to their duties inside the new premises

I'm glad you all like it, it has been so much fun [and the odd bit of teeth-gnashing, but that's all part of model-making] and what has made it all worthwhile is that I was able to share it with you!
It would have been a bit sad to have made it and then have no-one to share it with, or at best people who would say 'Why is your pub overrun with rats?'😁

I have to point out that although I made almost everything inside the Bluestocking from scratch, the armchairs and dining chairs were bought years ago because I thought they were cute - not even 'because they might come in handy sometime', the usual reason for buying stuff.

To give you an idea of scale, the model is about 12"/30cm from ground to chimney-top. It works out about 1:43, I think.

It turns out we've been robbed.

Gossamer and Gastronomy pulled off a most audacious heist.

Unfortunately an early evening snack at my end and some cctv footage from town uncovered the whole con.

Took at least three hours to read the facts. Fife have behaved appallingly.

They've been caught.

They honestly thought us humans (i use the word loosely) loved Chocolate wafers more than money, so assumed that the chocolate wafer wrapped in gold would actually be worth more than the gold.

At least that's the version of events as issued by their solicitors.

And they do look suitably upset.

2 weeks hard labour should sort them out.

Turns out some Staunch Ally gerbils were in on it!.
