Well I have blue ribbon, I hope that's OK.. but we have purple white and green bunting.
And yes a scale scissors - I bought a whole little packet of crafting 'charms' to get it.

My local charity shop is doing well out of this project, they've got lots of superfluous/not quite right size/wrong sex items

Magpie, you made me look & now I lust after need Midnight Wings & Amethyst, but I can't possibly justify them as I have enough polish for the next 5-10 years. Today it's an OPI in a glorious, slightly metallic bright red, with holo micro-glitter on top on one nail.

Ooh, I like those Android! And today's OPI too. I don't wear red often but a slightly metallic one sounds right up my street.

Have you tried any colour change ones? I've never bothered, because my nails are never long enough to show the effect, but I am intrigued!

I do love those nail polishes - I sometimes do my nails, but I end up having to patch chips every day, and then I can’t knit because I knock it off again.

Today is my wedding anniversary and the Walrus and I are going to the restaurant by the river to celebrate.

I have also started listening to The Hallmarked Man by an obscure author called Robert Galbraith, because I couldn’t sleep, and I’m already over 3.5 hours in. It’s terrific. Robin and Strike are both still hopelessly in love with each other and not telling the other.

I'm hiding out in my office/library with the dogs, because the cleaners are here - so we stay out from under their feet. I've written next week's menu, and done the Sainsbury's order, so now I shall just waste time on the Interwebz until they go, and then I'm plotting up in the front room to finish knitting a sweater for dh - I've just got the collar to finish and a zip to sew in. Then I'm planning to knit something for me, which will make a change - I've got some gorgeously soft, turquoise yarn and I'm going to knit a very simple cardigan.

I have also been asked to knit a sweater for a friend, but she hasn't told me what pattern or yarn she wants yet, plus DIL wants me to make name flowers for each of my granddaughters, and I need to knit a toy for dh, for Christmas (it's a tradition now) - I've found a pattern for a little Shaun the Sheep, complete with woolly hat, so that's what he's getting this year. Next year he's getting a massive crocodile - I've already ordered the book!

That sounds like a lot to have in your knitting queue, @SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius . That sort of thing stops me enjoying my knitting.

Can you put the sweater for your friend at the bottom of the list, after the fiddly things (toy, flowers) are finished?

We have two anniversaries - our legal one and our Humanist one where we exchanged our rings and vows.

DH celebrates the legal one, and I celebrate the Humanist one, so he shouldn't have got me anything as he does iti February. But he produced this wonderful bouquet 💐 because I couldn't get out to buy some (though I should have ordered online).

Bugger. I tripped on a root or something when I was out this morning. Thought I’d got away with a slightly skinned knee but my ankle seized right up on the way home. Fortunately I’ve a stool under my desk so I can work with it iced and elevated but I’m pissed off with myself for another silly injury just when DH seemed to be settling down from his more serious issues.
