So ever settling, or believing anything without full legal recourse is a mistake.

Ok, noted.

Sarah, I'm so sorry. Ethics seem to be something that this movement has no contact with. And there seems to be a serious message running around the movement that the SCJ will not stick.

Women have rights on paper, but not in practice in the UK. In case of making some men feel too sad.

A quick google on crowdjustice Sarah Summers shows that Sarah’s fundraiser is still open so maybe she foresaw that something like this might happen.

RayneBowTrout · 19/10/2025 16:19

Here's some information for anyone local or in general who wishes to chase this up.

The email address of the Survivors Network team that were supposedly dealing with this. [email protected]

Their last email to me was on the 11/08/25 and it stated:

"The group is still in the early stages of development with the OPCC, who are also in the process of doing a Sexual Violence Needs Assessment, which may inform its design.
If you would like to feed into this, they can be contacted via: [email protected].

As a result, we do not have a date or location set for the group launch, as there will be a number of factors we have to wait for, that feed into the design of this piece of work.

We will be considering different elements around accessibility within this.

Any updates regarding the group will be shared on our website and social media as and when they are available.

Warm regards,

The SN Team"

I have just emailed them asking for an informed update of their progress, as they have not provided updates via their website like they said they would.

macandcheeseforthewine · 19/10/2025 16:21

Absolute fuckers. I'm so sorry this has happened Sarah.

IamSarah · 19/10/2025 17:05

Thank you. I am so gutted. I was happy to give them the benefit of the doubt when they deleted their X account. And again when I didn’t hear anything from them for 4 months. I thought it was just taking some time to set up.

But now they have removed the statement from their website with zero communication with me I have to admit to myself that they probably have no intention of running the group 😞

IamSarah · 19/10/2025 17:30

I am looking into legal avenues.

Igmum · 19/10/2025 18:57

Bastards. So sorry Sarah 🫂

ItsCoolForCats · 19/10/2025 19:18

I'm so sorry @IamSarah. It's awful that you are still having to fight this.

Good. Hold their feet to the fire until they do what they said they would.

potpourree · 19/10/2025 19:33

So sorry that their dishonesty has reached this level. I'm astounded tbh and I actually hope this is some genuine mistake (how though?!). How unethical.

There must be money left over given it didn’t go to court?

IamSarah · 19/10/2025 19:55

Just to be really clear I am not saying anything about the case that is not already in the public domain. We know someone likes to post things on here to let me know he’s watching 🙄

There wasn’t crowdfunding money left over I had to top it up by quite a bit.

GrumpyMenopausalWombWielder · 19/10/2025 20:46

Surely there was a signed legal agreement at the conclusion of the case, with agreed penalties if they failed to do as they agreed to? It should be pretty straightforward if that was done, surely?

Honestly, completely shameful behaviour from a charity that is supposed to support victims of rape.

Rightsraptor · 19/10/2025 21:09

Absolutely correct that none of these people has any ethics or morality. It seems the Scottish government still hadn't paid For Women Scotland the costs awarded in the Supreme Court case.

They're all despicable.

IwantToRetire · 19/10/2025 22:12

So, so sorry Sarah.

Did anyone keep a copy of the statement by Survivors Network.

Or even a copy of the link to make it clear what they have withdrawn.

Am thinking of maybe starting a thread, not to duplicate but to make everyone aware of what they have done.

And because some MSM are prompted to write stories as FWR thread titles feature in google search etc..

Have found this news report where it quotes part of their statement https://www.civilsociety.co.uk/news/rape-survivors-charity-to-expand-service-provision-after-legal-challenge.html

But what it also says is that it is funded by Office of Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner so they should be alerted surely.

By the way I bet that Surivors Network will just say they are still working on providing the service, and until it is up and running no point having the statement posted. Because of course no on would think they might just not want people to know that they had to concede that Sarah was right.

This is the statement. First they added a lot of wording before it, then they hid it so it was very difficult to find. Now it has been removed from their website entirely.

Their statement isn’t going to be the means to ensure they abide by the agreement. You raised over £100k which is gone as you’ve said you’ve had to cover the shortfall. What did that pay for & why would your case conclude without an airtight legal agreement to ensure what was agreed actually happens? Who were the sols? You might have a case for professional negligence if you’ve paid them over £100k but got absolutely nothing binding at the end which gives the RCC the get out they seem to be taking.

This makes no sense. What exactly was agreed, what were the terms & was it signed & is it legally binding? I can’t imagine paying sols over £100k & ending up with nothing that secures the agreement so as to avoid this happening.

Anyone who has listened to trans widows will not be surprised that these people lie, if they can ever get away with it.

If there’s no enforceable agreement as part of the deal, the Survivor’s Network legal team must have told them to let the fuss die down and then do what the hell they want.

maltravers · 20/10/2025 00:30

There is surely an enforceable settlement agreement to threaten them with?

For fees over £100k, you’d think so.

Yes, this. Surely this is the case.

IamSarah · 20/10/2025 09:31

This isn’t over and I need to check what I am allowed to say about it. I will post an update when that’s clearer.

I know so many of you helped with gardening and I will do what I can to get the outcome women need.

TinselAngel · 20/10/2025 11:09

Isn’t whether or not there is an enforceable legal agreement, a matter of public record?
