Yasmin Alibhai-Brown "Most rape is commited by men men"

Alucard55 · 29/05/2025 14:50

Andrew Doyle explaining what the Supreme Court ruling means for women's rights. Yamin Alibhai - Brown stating that most rape is commited by "men men and not trans men".

I'm absolutely disgusted that women are still coming out and defending men.

"Trans men" ?

That's enough for me to know she doesn't understand what she's talking about

Helleofabore · 29/05/2025 14:59

"stating that most rape is commited by "men men and not trans men"."

They never think this through at all though. Because one of the most logical come backs is, how many raped women and girls specifically by a male who has a transgender identity are needed before action is taken to ensure that ALL male people are excluded?

Quite! She’s a professional left wing commentator and part of the omni cause

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry that she’s robustly defending a concept she clearly doesn’t actually understand or have the correct terminology for

SnowflakeSmasher86 · 29/05/2025 15:08

I’m convinced this is why many supporters of trans people think we’re being unreasonable by stating the risk of TW In women’s spaces.

They’re either confused about what is a ‘Transman’ or ‘Transwoman’ or they think that either way, its someone without a penis, so what harm can they do? A cursory read around the subject would surely enlighten them?

Mistyglade · 29/05/2025 15:08

That woman is infuriating. I can’t watch her with her arms crossed defensively with a perpetually contrary viewpoint, besides I don’t believe any of her ilk truly believe this bullshit they’re just terrified of the weirdos and too weak to speak the truth.

ErrolTheDragon · 29/05/2025 15:11

Well yes, under U.K. law all rape is committed by a ‘man man’, including some by transwomen. Not by ‘trans men’ because they’re female.

Exactly. It just confuses people.

And I know it's easy enough to make a verbal mistake (a Freudian slip?). But on a programme like this you've got to be 100% sure of what you're saying and at least realise your mistake. Otherwise viewers aren't sure whether you simply made a verbal mistake or whether you actually really don't entirely understand what you're talking about.

zanahoria · 29/05/2025 15:20

Reminds me of when Whoopi Goldberg was going on about 'rape rape'

Thingybob · 29/05/2025 15:22

Gosh that was awkward to watch, I was embarrassed for her.

What's the betting she has a trans identified relative?

MidnightMusing5 · 29/05/2025 15:28

Well obviously more “men men” commit rape vs trans men, simply because there was way more men men than trans !

Igneococcus · 29/05/2025 15:28

I find it hard to believe she won any awards purely based on viewing this.

Imnobody4 · 29/05/2025 15:32

My opinion of Yasmin has plummeted over the years. Her manner is so arrogant without actually addressing the real issues.
Here's another video where she does get transwoman correct but it's no better.

More "men men" commit rape than trans men because trans men are women and women cannot rape

illinivich · 29/05/2025 15:33

The language around trans ideology is so intentionally mangled that is impossible to have a conversation and get any point across.

She was confused by the talk about biology that she unintentionally said trans men when she was probably thinking about 'trans males' and meant to say TW, but the leap from males to woman was too much in the moment? But its a trick tra have been playing for a while around preferred pronouns and male vs man, so im glad she has shown up the lunacy of it all.

terryleather · 29/05/2025 15:37

All men are “men men”, even if they declare a special identity. This isn’t hard.

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 29/05/2025 15:38

What a stupid, ignorant woman.

illinivich · 29/05/2025 15:41

I know the thought process- TW are a small percentage of the population, therefore if a woman is raped, the probability of the perpetrator being a tw is low.

But that can be said about any group of men - relatively few men in the county can speak Italian, but it doesnt mean that Italian speaking men shouldnt follow the same rules as other men.

Igneococcus · 29/05/2025 15:43

One of the most astonishing things about GI is how many people are prepared to make utter fools of themselves in public.

HelenaWaiting · 29/05/2025 15:48

I sat next to her on a flight once. She's proper rude.

Hermiaxx · 29/05/2025 16:00

Always found YA-B slightly incoherent - but still disappointing to knock another woman off my Christmas card list (although I do agree it’s only men committing rape and not transmen!).

Alucard55 · 29/05/2025 16:01

It's so infuriating and even more so that Andrew started to explain that trans identified males are no more or less of a risk to women than other males so that's why we should keep men out but wasn't allowed to continue that point.

If most rapes are committed by "men men" then the logic is that some rapes are committed by men who identify as not men or "trans men" as she calls them. Do these rapes not matter to her?

The other element that's muddying the waters is the way that trans-women who commit crimes have been reported as being women/female in the press, referred to in articles as "she and her", so who knows whether or not these crimes are recorded as being by men or women?

zanahoria · 29/05/2025 16:20

Thingybob · 29/05/2025 15:22

She has always personified the liberal elite, the sort that wholeheartedly believe that they are on the right side but look down on anyone who dare disagree with them. It does not surprise me she is on that side of the argument.

Bannedontherun · 29/05/2025 16:25

I saw this and am glad i could re watch the segment here.

Sometimes i agree with stuff she says, but less often these days.

Two things really,

Yasmin is a really good example of the soft left not getting it and going with whatever the left say she ought to think, the whole be kind bollocks, she just quoted stuff like people being persecuted and killing themselves, so has not bothered to look into this deep enough.

But more annoying is the screeching, hysterical, uncontrolled outrage she expresses wiggling in her seat like she has ants in her pants. I find it incredibly sad that we have women like this on our TV, in debates who cannot hold it together.

Or an argument for that matter.

Carol Malone is as bad.

CautiousLurker01 · 29/05/2025 16:25

Loved the way she shouted over Andrew while he was explaining the autocratic and bullying nature of the movement, utterly oblivious to the fact that she was proving his fucking point.
