From the trailer it sounds like she will be talking about the disappearance of the L in the rest of the alphabet soup. I hope we hear some straight talking about these new fangled 'lesbians' with penises. Nuala McGovern is a 'be kind' type...

Yup. Nuala minimised every comment by JB on gender identity as anecdotal or controversial or offensive.

Nuala ending by questioning JB's assertion that prostitution is exploitation not 'sex work' and implying that's some weird extremist position, distasteful to the right-thinking listeners of WOMAN'S Hour.

It seems she might have been invited on so Nuala could minimise and misrepresent her views. Nothing to see here - don't bother buying this flimsy, anecdote-based book.

Good job Julie! Loved that she went back to compulsory heterosexuality . Pity it was Nuala doing the “ interviewing” ..she always has to say well we haven’t got any gay men, trans people “sex workers” to argue their case. We have had plenty of them over the last few years and this was a refreshing change.

I am going to listen later. I normally avoid WH because of presenters like Nuala who are just infuriating😡

Refreshing. JB certainly did not disappoint.

So glad she's managed to centre the right sort of women who at all times revolve around and centre men, and don't want anything nasty like identities or spaces or language of their own.

Radio 4 programmes can often take 1 to 3 hours before they're available to stream/download.

Annoyingly I did look to see what was on this morning and decided to listen to an audiobook instead.

I bet they don't bother to cover the Supreme Court hearing, having done a "transphobic women" slot already this week.

Nuala is always so obviously hostile to anything or anyone that goes against progressive narratives. She comes across as very defended and not open in the slightest. She displayed no warmth or compassion for anything Julie had to say.
