What is happening in the Bluestocking? Is it all falling apart? How do we restore harmony amongst the animals?

It was touch and go for a while there, but then along came Fuzzy and Magpie wanting cuddles and the animals now feel wanted again, and that's all any cute furry animal needs to be happy

I know this because I am a furry animal veterinary psychologist. Well, I identify as such, and I know how much you all respect identities which are totally lacking in any factual basis

'No idea how they got there, never bought a pineapple in my life, it must've fallen off a lorry, broken into pieces, been carried by the wind into the kitchen, and then they accidentally arranged themselves all over the pizza I just made! Well fancy that!'😂

I think I wanted to be a chinchilla, back when I was feeling excessively human amongst all you creatures, but I didn't want to abandon my existing username, un-Stocking-ish though it is.
I think our resident chinchillas should take on a counselling role with the other animals - they look like such good listeners, don't they?

Myrtle's cuddle heap has reminded me of Randall Munroe's "Mole of Moles" piece. Do NOT go looking unless you are feeling mentally stable and resilient, it's a bit gruesome... Also probably not suitable for vegetarians or vegans of a delicate disposition.

Very caring - very chinchilla of you

I was once offered two degus together with huge cage and equipment, for free. My other half vetoed the idea on the grounds that we didn't have room to the whole shebang.

Totally reasonable, totally disappointing.

If I could have some degus of my very own in the Bluestocking, that would be wonderful.

Hi all i am posting something somber here in my grief. In respect to a woman who was an old fashioned woman, whose identity was in completeness a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother. But most of all a daughter of a miner, a wife of a striking miner who led the miners wives support group who worked locally and nationally in a struggle that she believed in.

She was sharp as a tack, witty and full of life and love, she was a feminist of sorts, the working class type. Today Margaret died and i want to hold up a glass of mild up to her cos thats what she drank, gerbils……..

Both my grandfathers were coal miners: the one who came to live with my family for a while had been sent down the mines aged 13. It’s a hard life.

The barkeeper tonight was female, capable of listening and Polish. I know that she was Polish because she noticed the given name on the works badge that I hadn't removed and started to speak to me in Polish. Soon sorted that out. She understood that gin is kept in the freezer to avoid the need for ice, fizzy stream mixers are the Devil's work and the customer decides how much mixer to add to a drink.

Totally different experience from last night.
