It reminds me of a TV ad I loved, because it was so weird - remember the ad with the teacher with a Spanish accent demonstrating to the class 'Full Moon - Hallff Moon - Total Eclipse' by biting bits out of a Jaffa Cake?
So weird, and therefore so wonderful.

I was a serial volunteer in my younger days - everything from the playgroup committee, the local NCT committee, the Scout committee, the school governors, to treasurer of the Art class committee, choir committee and now secretary of the Residents' association.

I only do the last one now - and that doesn't involve too much work, but I used to run myself ragged, doing all sorts of things, mainly because I was one of the few fools who would stick their hand in the air, whilst everyone else was studiedly ignoring the request and admiring the floor.

I wish I had been a fly on the wall when they were pitching that ad - if you describe it in words it seems totally daft. The kind of thing a combination of AI and the Bluestocking might come up with😄

Stormageddon Watch: I've been around my garden tying things down and putting heavy weights on things, but heaven knows what state things will be in tomorrow morning. One meteorologist said this might be the worst storm to hit Ireland. EVER😱It's passing right over the island, instead of around the W and NW coast as most storms do. So we're all in the crosshairs.

We have a tradition of celebrating every stage of the job hunt with prosecco and then champagne for getting the job. So we had prosecco on Tuesday when I was told I had an interview, and will have more tomorrow evening after the interview. It's the only thing allowed to break our sober run from the end of Christmas to our wedding anniversary.
