En franglais, in English .... open to all women for company, fun and fabulous artworks. Leave unwanted reality in the porch and come along in.

Ask the AI. It likes nicking them. I dread to think why AI wants legs though 😱

It turns them into extra fingers I think

Colin looks keen.
And Kevin will eat anything.

I've been kind and opened the tin for them

I still think Gravy Bowser is a fabulous name for a racehorse - or a portly, wheezing dog, especially if he's the correct shade of brown.

When our first sausage dog was a pup we sometimes called him 'milk tanker'Grin

Despite the disappointment I've caused some about the leglessness of this iteration of the pub (putting it like that - YABU!Grin), the universe is smiling on me today. Walking along the shore in glorious sunshine we chanced on an outing of a dachshund club which was delightful. And then we visited a Buddhist temple, where the food offerings included a wine glass containing two Tunnocks teacakes.

That's karma that is.

I'm afraid Kevin has taken advantage rather, and given the SPAM to Sharon who is just feeding the chicks and ignoring Colin. Poor Colin

Apologies for gatecrashing. I've been experimenting with Gemini, Google's AI, and asked it for a Spam cocktail. It was strangely reluctant to produce one but after three or four attempts it came up with the attached. Wish I hadn't persisted now...

Poor Colin!

But the chicks are doing well, even if they don't appear to like Spam!

Oh...wow! That's... Erm... Give me a minute...erm... Interesting!

I think I've just gone off Spam for life 😂

ErrolTheDragon · 21/09/2024 22:52

I'm sure Colin will lap it up for you.

Every time I read the phrase Gravy Bowser I see it as gravy browser. But either Gravy Bowser or Gravy Browser would be good for a racehorse's name, probably.

Oh dear. I don't think spam does well as the main ingredient for a cocktail. But well done for persisting.

ErrolTheDragon · 21/09/2024 23:13

Judging from the burp I heard under the table, Colin disagrees.

Colin can't resist any kind of spam. He's asked for another spam cocktail for himself, not to be shared with Kevin et al.

Is it taking him for a walk first?

Shades of The Walrus and the Carpenter, I fear. But I'm not sure who is going to eat who in this particular AI creation

Are two of the chicks named Sam and Pam, then?

No wonder the chick on the right is looking peeved, as she or he doesn’t get their own tin, Sharon is feeding the other chick and all she/he/it has to look at is a tin Boily hasn’t had chance to open.

Ha! Alas they have already been named
Stephen Jnr
Sarah
Susan
Kevina

I apologise that all tins weren't opened, but they are like gannets when it comes to Spam!

You won't be wanting one with your breakfast then?
Talking of which would you care to place your order, I just saw the cooking gerbils clocking on for the day

Boiledbeetle · 22/09/2024 07:58

I just nipped out to see what all the excited squeaking was that I could hear from the bar.

Is it me or do these quokkas look like they are up to no good??

Have you no cultural awareness? Hmm It's the autumn equinox today. But obviously as quokkas are from the southern hemisphere, they're joining their Australian relatives in a joyous spring fertility rite. They can give birth twice a year so this works out fine for them. I think that means when the babies are born in about a months time the current joeys will have to vacate the pouch so they'll be hopping around the place more.

It seems I have no cultural awareness at all 😱

It was the way they all stopped and just stared at me when I went out that spooked me. I did feel like I'd walked in on something that was designated Quokka only!

So we'll have lots of little cuties around the place soon?

Now it's me doing the excited squeaking 😍

ErrolTheDragon · 22/09/2024 08:45

Well yes, of course their fertility rite is quokkas only.

Biology is the only reality we don't leave in the porch, so if you joined in it wouldn't result in quokka-beetle hybrids, it'd just be a bit pointless all round.

No apologies needed, Magpiecomplex, you're more than welcome, and when
EdithStourton said 'That is nearest thing I have ever seen to a cup of cold sick' I'm sure it was meant in a nice way😂

Magpiecomplex · 22/09/2024 09:25

Thanks @MarieDeGournay
@Boiledbeetleif you're taking the breakfast orders could I have a hot chocolate and a croissant in a cosy corner where I can hide from my students please?

No worries, Magpie, it was, er, a neutral comment.

I'm sitting waiting for a full English. Autumn is coming and all that.

Can't wait for the infant quokkas, though.
